Hello! My name is Kelly and I am a proud single mother of a very bright 3 year old girl. I became a caregiver because it runs on my mothers side of the family. Grandmother had been a nurse for years and I plan to follow in her footsteps. I consider the elderly comical and extremely eccentric so I'd have to say meeting the client. I have worked as a one on one aid with altimer individuals. i've worked on the ventilator unit and long term units at nursing homes. I did live in aid work for awhile also.

I love being in the medical field. I decided I wanted to work in this field in high school. MY step Brother is handicap and I love taking him places and doing things with him. I have worked with the mentally challenged for 8 years. I just recently received my CNA license. Taking care of others has always been a passion of mine. It is self gratifying when you feel a sense of accomplishment knowing you helped someone less fortunate then you are. I have worked with Autistics and Schizophrenics most of my adult life. I have worked in high behavior group homes. I have been beaten up and badgered. At the end of the day when all was said and done procedure was followed and I still showed up for work the following day. Even when things get tough I still stay strong. I am independent and have a work ethic like no other. I cook clean and complete all daily tasks. This is one of the jobs that my life wouldn't be complete without. Every day is a new adventure and I look forward to the ride.

I have always since childhood been mindful of the elderly in my neighborhood. I would check on them, take cakes to them and walk to the store for them. I consistently did this throughout with no pay. It's in my heart. I get personal fulfillment from caring for others. I always loved to sing and wanted to do this in front of an audience and achieved this in my mid thirties in college at a recitle. I am a Christian woman in my mid 50s who loves helping others and put my heart into. I exercise daily to keep my energy level and I am joyful most of the time. No reason not to be. am very giving of myself, time and material i.e. I'll bake you a cake for no reason.
