What makes me a great caregiver I've learned to hear & listen as well have compassion. All my teen age life I wanted to care for elderly & children, I started working with individuals with develop disabilities ages range 18yrs - 70yrs, I thought to myself this is great later I came across working with senior citizens my heart, soul and mind was complete I found my goal this has been a passion and hearts desire. what I love most about being a care giver is being there physically, mentally, spiritually to comfort to have an ear and hand to help make another client day better than the day before. My personal achievement I'm proud of knowing that I made another persons day.

What makes me a great caregiver is my personality. I've been in the care giving field since I was 17. Even before that. I was helping my mom at her job since I was 7. My whole life I've grown to love the caregiving field.

Patience, compassion, attentiveness, dependability, trustworthy, outgoing. Being able to care for someone in their home is something I learned I enjoy throughout the three years I've had experience doing this job. I enjoy putting a smile on the people I care for and making sure they receive the best care they can get.

I'm a mother of two kids, one boy and one girl. I spend most of my days with my kids. I enjoy working with patients who need a companion in their live. I mostly enjoy helping patients with Alzheimer's, I find them to be the most amazing people to talk to. I enjoy talking about their past and their memories. Hello, My name is DeAnna. I have been in the line of health care for 13 years, working in nursing homes as a state Certified Nurses Aide as well as in private homes as a Home Health Aide. I have worked with many various ailments both mental and physical. I specialize in rehabilitation, Alzheimer's/Dementia, and skilled nursing/hospice. I love knowing that I am making a positive difference in someone's life! I also own and operate a senior care and service company. I have a great group of girls that were my co-workers until I decided to make my own business. Our caregivers range from Companions to C.N.A's and I am looking into to hiring a nurse to join our team. I actively work as a cargiver within my company and make minimal profit off hours I dont personally work as a care giver. What this means is I have well paid aides who enjoy working for/with me and I can take the burden of hiring and scheduling cargivers off your shoulders. We have on call aides to fill in should anything unexpected come up for a caregiver so you need not ever worry about someone not coming. I also carry liability insurance on myself as well as my fellow caregivers and they are my employees which means they are covered under my disability, unemployment, and workmans comp if anything should happen. I have been a caregiver for two years. I worked at two facilities. I am familiar with working with people with Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, covid-19, and many others. I have been through training multiple times and I know to feed , bathe , shower patients. If I will cook for the patient , clean, do household chores ect. I have worked in home health care as well as a facility and during these times I have met some wonderful people. I have met people from all over the world! I've been in the medical field for almost 7 years, and I absolutely love it. I run my own home care business and it's the best decision I've ever made. I started my own business because I want people to be able to have quality care at home and be as comfortable as possible in these difficult times.

I am a great caregiver because I put myself in my patients situation, try my best to make them as comfortable as I can and treat them as if they are family. I became a caregiver because I've always loved helping people, I feel as if my hands were meant to heal. I love being a care giver, the most rewarding thing is to watch the patient leave our facility (recently employed at an LTACH) and return back to there normal lives. I have only been employed as a caregiver by one facility. In my first 90 days I received recognition from management for my superior work with my patients and I received 5 select stars, each one from a certain patient who felt I went above and beyond to make them comfortable. I am a great team player who is hard working and very results oriented when on the job. I am looking to broaden my horizons in the healthcare field and gain as much experience and learn as much as I can along the way.
