I'm a mom and recently out of the army. My husband is still stationed here at drum, he's military police. Just looking to help others! I love to help people in any kind of way, whatever I'm able to do I will do it.

I am a single mother of 2 girl's. I love to take care of people. I am a great learner and great multitasker. I put pride in my work and love doing what I do.

1. What makes me like a great caregiver is that I treat my patient like my own family, I always to my mind that taking my patient is like I'm also taking care of my family 2. I love doing caregiving because it is my passion to take care of them, love them and give them the needs they needed, 3. I enjoyed most being caregiver is that being able to handle the behavior your patient is giving to you and yet you find your self it is very interesting and you still love your patient. It's like loving them with out asking for return to love you back 4. Personal achievement I am proud of is that I was able to stay calm in times of emergency when my patient oxygen sat went down to 52%, when shes having difficulty in breathing, she became cyanotic or become blue and I was doing a back percussion to her, her breathing went back to normal, (Ps. She had most form so I couldn't able to do CPr- that's why back percussion was applied)

I have a strong passion for helping people . It's one of my favorite things I can provide as a human . I absolutely love being around others . I love helping . I have a strong passion for helping the disabled. I want to further my career someday in working with the disabled. I love working in a nursing home setting as well . I love hearing stories from my patients . I love being around them . I think the main thing that attracted me in being a caregiver is I'm a huge people person . I love being around others . I love being able to help someone as much as I can . Something I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is hearing the elders stories . I love hearing their background . I love bringing smiles to their faces . They become almost family to you . Something I am really proud of is helping my aunt open up a program through our church for the disabled. It was one of my biggest achievements . Thats when I fell in love with this career path !

I believe myself to be a good candidate for your organization for several reasons. 1) I have worked most of my adult life giving care and helping those in need and in end of life situations. 2) I have an ability to get along very well with and relate to those whom I give care to. Personality wise I am calm and patient and very understanding and empathetic to the challenges people face when living through times of need. I understand what it is all about with Alzheimers victims and why they get confused, angry, depressed, regressed and even have outbursts of anger. I know why this happens and typically what is best to do when facing most of these situations. I also have deep concern for people who are in need of care, regardless of how disastrous the disease may or may not be. 3) What attracts me most to being a care giver for individuals at home is that I am directly helping them to keep out of the nursing home, when most want very much to stay at home in their own environment. 4) I am reliable - I am responsible and reliable in not only coming to work, but showing up for it in the first place! I rarely ever call in unless it is an all out unavoidable situation I won't call in, period. I realize the importance of my presence in the home as these people are not able to do the chores which need to be done around their homes, or to cook, or to get help with their personal care. I have 2 dependable vehicles, one being a big 4x4 truck that does quite well in heavy winter weather. For these reasons, you can depend on me to fulfill my responsibilities, and so can the client, and so can the client's family.
