I kinda always was a caregiver and didn't know it. Both of my parents worked and I was much older than my step brother and sister, so I did all the house work and taking care of them from an early age. I also grew up with my aunt who was a spastic quadriplegic, so I learned how to do a lot there. I have had many patients, most were the ones everyone else had bad trouble with. I'm kinda the guy, that I can handle pretty much anything from full Dementia, to full quadriplegic. I have my state license in CNA, ACNA, and Phlebotomy. I have excellent experience and very good references. The last question that I am proud of is: My mother was passing in the hospital and couldn't have her placed in a home. So I brought her home with me and kept her alive for another month before she passed away with me. At the end she had full blown dementia, it was quite an ordeal to go through. So with that experience it has taught me a lot of what other families could be going through.

Im sierra! Im 23 years old and currently working my way towards nursing school. I have 10 years experience of babysitting and 6 years experience of elderly care sitting. I have been responsible for companionship, feeding, bathing, meals and medications. I am CPR and basic health certified. I have completed CNA and Phlebotomy certification classes as well.

What makes me a great caregiver is being able to show empathy and compassion, to see my assignment more a ministry and calling than "work". I love people and working with families. I chose this area of work because it relates to my persona in that i am a natural , caring person by nature. My greatest achievements are when I am able to see results from the care and compassion I give. For example, when I have successfully been able to transition a patient from a state of "depression" to a sense of well-being and hope. I integrate this by instilling positive attitude, care and love for my clients with genuineness . I enjoy what I do and love getting up in the morning to make a difference the patient and families' lives. Additionally, I feel that I am better capable of caring for families given my wealth of experience from working with children in primary education as a certified childcare giver to going into the medial capacity working with families of all ages including geriatrics. I have worked in the medical field for over 20 years with the last of my years as a Medical Assistant in Orthopedics.

I became a care giver because I enjoy helping people, I like the one on one care giving best because I can do what ever is required to assist the patient without worrying about how much time it will take. I worked for Hospice care and feel that I made a difference in the lives of the patient and their families. I have been an LPN for 31 years, I'm married , have 2 adult children, 3 grand children and a great grand daughter. I moved to SC 6 years ago from up state NY. I would say that I am a friendly loving person, I am dependable and trust worthy.

I have been in the nursing field for more then 15yrs now I love taking care of elderly people it's just something i choose to do love putting smiles on there faces treating them as if they where my own family members

I became a caregiver because I enjoy helping others. I enjoy being a caregiver because there are so many people out there that I can help and helping others brings me joy. I am proud to have accomplished loosing weight and gaining control of my eating and dieting habits. It has been over five years and going strong with the new lifestyle that I have found. I am an empathetic, patient and compassionate person who through my 15 plus years experience as a caregiver and my 10 years as a mother have learned that there is nothing too extensive or out of reach that I would not try to do to help even the least of these. I love what I do!

I am very caring and outgoing. I will go above and beyond my job duties. I cared for my grandma at a very you age, and develop a passion for health care. I love being able to make a difference, and put a smile on some ones face. I very proud to have graduated from nursing school this summer.
