I am very knowledgeable in the caring field. I am dependable & trustworthy. I don't have children so I put all of my heart and time into those who need me. I feel like God has blessed me with the skills and ability to have a caring heart. I strive to make your loved ones journey as safe & productive as possible. I love nurturing . One of my favorite experiences being a caregiver are the families that I meet and become close with. They become family to me too. I took care of my husband who passed after 19 years of cancer, my grandparents , who both suffered from Alzheimer's. Spent numerous years working in a rest home & for private clients in their home. Here I've learned many skills for many areas where disease affects family. If you choose me to be a part of your care team I'm confident I can complete any task asked of me. I am an outgoing mom that loves to cook. I have spent most of my life caring for others, my mom cared for my grandparents and I loved to go help and started staying and caring for them at the age of 13. I would help with light household duty's and cooking as they could not stand long to do it. I started helping care for my brother at 14 when he broke his neck in a car accident and became an incomplete quad. I got certified as a nurses aide when I was 17 and started working in nursing homes and caring for in home patients. I love to talk and learn from their experiences and get to know all kind of different people. I stepped back from the workforce when my first daughter was born and miss it dearly and am ready to return to helping others in need.

As a caregiver i enjoy listening to the clients life story and trying to relate to things that they have experienced in the past. They pass on their wisedom and experience of life to us as caregiver. And being able to make your client feel like they are still important is just an amazing experience. To see them excited when you walk in always makes me smile.

I became a caregiver because my grandfather was ill when I was young I had to learn to assist with him I love to help people I started out as a CNA and then a med aid and now I am currently trying to get into RN program I am striving to be the best so that I can always be there to help people

I have been doing caregiving since I was age 17 , I'm now 21 going on 22 next month (February) . As an experienced caregiver , I believe my most valuable personality traits are kindness and patience . I also believe all caregivers need soft and hard skills to make a patients day to day life much easier . I've had to respond to difficult clients in my previous position which wasn't a problem at all , I'd first make sure I'm calm before approaching the patient . Then, I'd take the patient's hands and explain that I'm here to help in a calm voice. I'd explain why the patient should cooperate with me and reassure them I'd make any activity's fun and assure them that I'm here to make everything much easier for them as that is my job . I enjoy being a caregiver because I love love taking care of my elders , the most important people who has given so much to this world . I'm very proud of what I do , and I love love love the special relationship that I always create with each of my residents . I enjoy stories from my residents and their experience and humor as well .I always make sure to provide support and encouragement to each resident and I feel like communication played a big part in a relationship between a caregiver and resident . I'm proud of myself because every client I've had over the years , I've always been told that I was the best they've ever had by the families of the resident and the residents as well , I always make sure to do my best work rather I'm having a bad day or not , I make sure that my residents nor their families are ever able to tell . A personal achievement of mines is I graduated from brenham high school , I started off caring for my grandfather who was very sickly while i was in school and that pushed me to go out and help other families because I knew this was something that I loved doing . I have a one year old daughter who I love so dearly , I have to make sure I'm setting a good example for her for when she grows up .

Friendly, loving, and kind spirited person that loves to take care for the elderly. Over the last 11+ years I have been able to care for some amazing people. I feel blessed to be able to help ease pain and provide companionship to those in need. My greatest accomplishment would be raising my 3 daughters and being able to see them grow into beautiful young ladies.
