Hi! I'm Danica. I just moved to San Antonio from Hawaii. I love interior designing and admiring old, classic, and modern architectures. I'd love to visit Netherlands, UK, Scotland, and Bali. A clean and organized environment makes me happy and calm. I enjoy small "DIY" projects and currently making our house feel like home.

I have 4 years of previous practical nursing training from West Technical Educational Center located in South Florida , where I was born and raised. I've have 2 years of caregiver experience. I am currently a Certified Medical Assistsnt as well as a Certified Medication Technician. I have always been passionate about helping others in every way that I can possibly can help. I pride myself in displaying Integrity, respect, care and empathy for others....Treat the client as if I were taking care of my parent or grand parent. I am young , energetic and full of compassion! I would be a great caregiver because i have been doing this type of work off and on for 30 yrs. I am very compassionate and caring caregiver. I also love to work with the eldery they have so much to tell us about their life.

I was 15 years old and just started my freshman year of high school when I was placed in a class called Intergenerational Studies. For 2 hours each day I was taken to the nursing home called Golden Years there in Elgin, Tx. I started off just getting residents from their rooms to come and do activities with me. But it wasn't long and I was working side by side with CNAs, RNs, and at one point the DON had me shadow her for 2 weeks. I just got really interested and a few years after graduation and having my son, I pursued a CNA certification and was assigned the hospice hall and the "lockdown unit" which was occupied by the more violent patients and those with conditions such as Alzheimer's and/or parkinson's, as well as those with behavioral health conditions. I honestly just fell in love with everything about caring for the elderly. Even the hard and very emotional side of the care I provide is something I wouldn't want to stop doing. I would love to get my CNA back but just haven't attempted to do so since my husband passed in 2011. Since my high school days I have worked with all ages of people, from a 2 year old little princess to a 98 year old gentleman I referred to as Fred Astaire due to them looking like twins. He loved it and would smile so big when I walked in every day; and every day he would say "Good morning Ms. Judy (Garland). You feel like dancing the day away?" It's things like that for which I love my work. Please feel free to ask anything, I would love to tell everything now but there is just so much I've been blessed to have experienced with so many different people I'd never be done.

I have a good personality, I'm outgoing most importantly I love being a caregiver. I love taking care of people and being able to bring a smile to their face and build a strong connection. I've happily been doing this for 10 years.

I am a certified medical assistant, EKG technician, and phlebotomist. I am enthusiastic, honest, passionate , punctual caregiver. I am in the process of going back to school to finish my nursing classes. After I graduate and become a registered nurse, I am going to grow with a career that sees me as an opportunity to give compassion to the world. I became a part-time caregiver years ago when we discovered my dad had dementia in the 90s. I have always been a caregiver in my family . My background is in finance. Kids got to college and I decided I'd do what was in my heart! Love being a companion and helpful Guide when I'm needed in a shopping, cooking, housekeeping and overall balancing act for someone who just needs some assistance.
