Hello I have been a CNA for over 10 years. I've worked from Texas to Colorado during covid. Recently I had my first child who is 11 months already so I am finally going to settle down in one spot. I've lived in Corsicana for 17 years so this is home. I followed in my sister's footsteps who was a CNA first and in my opinion the best if I can be half as good as she was. I like the one on one time with my patients versus the nursing home environment which is fast paced very little time with each patient. I've worked in nursing homes for all 17 years either with an agency or the facility it's self. I've worked as a sitter for different families as well during my time.

I wanted to help people with Alzheimer's disease ,my step dad just past away he had Parkinson's disease and I decided to help people to help fight the end of Alzheimer's disease. I pay attention to the people and try to be in their world do the things and activities they like to do. Have 12 years experience as a care giver and in training in Alzheimer's disease. Have knowledge in taking Blood pressure and Blood sugar been RN delegated by a nurse. I like gardening with them and doing activities that help them with their brain activity Taking walks playing games or puzzles . I personally love help people in general, young or elder. I became a Certified Nursing Assistant for many reasons, the most important one being that i could be there when nobody else could. I love spending time and asking their stories. i wouldn't change it for the world.

I became a caregiver because I love to help and take care of people. I like being a caregiver because I get to meet different people and care for them in ways that I am needed. A personal achievement that I am proud of is that I am able to go out and assist people with their needs and be a big help to the family as well as for the patient.
