Ive been a CNA for 20 yrs, received my license in North Carolina in 2001 and in Virginia in 2009. I believe the most important thing that makes me a great CNAs is patience and understanding. The reason why I became a CNA is I find joy in the elderly. They are knowledgeable, they make you laugh,and you can learn alot from them. I get great joy in seeing the smiles on their faces because they're pleased with me.

Because I'm a very compassionate person, and patient that 's what makes me a very special and caring nursing aide. Also I love the work I do ,not because of the money and overtime, Because of the satsfaction I get from helping people from day to day.

I have been working as a Licensed CNA over 20+ yrs , when taking care of my residence i look at them as my family member, meaning i would give them good quality care show them love and respect with dignity, what attracted me to being a caregiver i have watched my family member with dementia and my aunt needed a break because it can become overwhelming at times. What makes me a great caregiver is my ability to be empathetic and understanding to every situation. I'm a genuine person who understands how to listen to a individuals needs and provide excellent service and companionship. I enjoy listening to individuals and seeing their responses and the level of happiness they experience when they encounter someone who cares for them and are interested in what they have to say. I'd say punctuality and dependability are my biggest strengths.

It takes a lot to be a great caregiver. If the patient is happy and comfortable, then so am I. I'm great with holding a conversation and when given instructions I follow them exactly. I've cared for two older folks before and absolutely adored the time I spent with them. I've always had an open heart for people I can assist. Really good at cleaning up and preparing a meal/snack. Anything needed specifically for your family member I can do!

I am Tammy Pinkston. I have cared for my grandmother while she was sick and passing from cancer. I also assisted my Aunt in her successful battle with cancer. I have worked and care for children and adults with mental health issues.

My name is Cortney and I have been in the nursing field for fourteen years. I have been in a nursing home setting, home health and also have done some private duty in my time as a nurse. I feel I am compassionate enough to have this gift to work with anyone who need a care. I love the fact of knowing that I can care for someone on Their darkest days and maybe even provide a smile. What I enjoy the most is building a bond and being apart of the recovery process. My biggest achievement in care giving was being able to help my mom over a period of two years recover from her Ru in y Gastric bypass surgery. Prior to her surgery she had diabetes and kidney disease for 3 years and didn't think she would make it to the age of 40. After her surgery I was apart of the recovery process and seeing her healthy and free of diabetes and kidney disease has been the best experience and biggest accomplishment in my life. Therefore I want to continue and help others because its what I truly love to do.

I have compassion, love, patience for what I do as a Certified Nurse Assistant and as a Hospice Aide. I took care of my mom and sis which made me want to be a nurse assistant for life!!
