I have been doing caregiving for quiet some time now and I have come to realize working with the elderly is really where I'm most happy working. I get along great with them , I enjoy there company and there wisdom they have and the many stories they share from the past. They all make me want to be a better caregiver everyday. It's been very rewarding and I'm proud of the caregiver I've become. I'm very caring very reliable and I'm laid back, I like to joke around with them , love seeing the smiles on there faces. I enjoy getting them all cleaned up and dressed for the day looking very nice. I also love it when they remember me and thank me for doing a good job . It reminds me why I do what I do. Caregiving is not for the weak. I do it because I can and because I love taking care of these people. They have all held a special place in my heart.

I have worked in home care and also in a state run facility for over 18 years. I have always preferred home care as it's more fulfilling to help someone 1 to 1 than having multiple clients.

I have been a cna in idaho and Washington for about 8 years total. I like helping the elderly so they can stay in there home. The elderly are so interesting to talk too. I enjoy helping people it makes me feel important when i have helped someone and made them happy.
