Hello! Thanks for stopping by. I've always loved caregiving, and hope I get the chance to extend some care into the lives of you and your loved ones. Since I was a very young girl when asked what I want to do I've always been able to respond in the same way: I want to help people. I've always been driven to grow and improve. This desire also extends out to the people around me. As a caregiver, I go out of my way to ensure my client's needs are met before that of my own. I try to get to know each person as what they really are: an incredible human being, with a LOT to offer. I always try to learn something from my incounters, no matter how brief the engagement. I've tried many different jobs through out my life and have found the most satisfaction in caring for others. I enjoy helping others in any way I can. I'm a single mom of an 11 year old boy. I've been a CNA since 2001. I've gone to school at PCC, specializing in gerontology, end of life care, and dementia. I've worked in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and in home. I'm a hard worker and am always trying to come up with new ways to improve the lives of the ones I care for.

I am an NAR (soon to be CNA) studying to get my RN. I currently work TH - Sat nights 9pm -7am. Looking to help someone and be there for a client a few hours a week and make a difference.

I started volunteering at my local senior center as a teenager, and from then I knew I wanted a career with elders. I was given an opportunity to caregive 3 years ago, and I quickly worked up the latter to running a house. I have found myself gaining trust of my residents easily and maintaining a personal yet professional relationship with them. Recently I completed NA training and am awaiting my State Board testing for my CNA license.

I am patient,caring and love making people smile! If I can make someones day or night better by just being there,it makes it all worth it! I have worked with dementia, alzheimer's, stroke and hospice. I enjoy helping people remember there life history and every day things. Hello my name is Karla, I have been a caregiver since 1998. Besides caregiving I also have a love for animals, dogs, cats, horses, etc. I live on a small farm in Vader. I knew I wanted to be a caregiver when I was 16, my grandfather moved in with us and we hired hospice to help us care for him. I was in awe of the help we recieved from these wonderful ladies. I worked in a hospital for 20 years. I started out in housekeeping then went to school to recieve my Certified Nurses Aide certificate for Washington state. I have worked in many aspects for the hospital from babies to hospice, emergency room to recovery. I choose to do in home health care when I moved to Vader. I enjoy in home caregiving because I get to meet very interesting clients and families. I enjoy the slower pace of caring for a client one on one. From bathing, playing games, Dr appointments, cooking and cleaning their homes. I am happy to do what it takes to keep your family member safe and happy in their home environment.
