I have been caregiving for the last almost 13 years. I started my caregiving journey young helping take care of family. Once I started my own family I took care of my mother-in-law for a while. After that I began working in facilities and Adult family homes. I currently have all of my CBRF certifications required by the state of Wisconsin. Which is my standard precautions, first aid/choking, medication administration, and fire safety. I will love and care for your family member as they are my own family member!!

I previously worked as a CNA for 7 years in Nursing homes, assisted living facilities, Rehab facilities and Disabled homes. I have been a nurse for 5 years at Aurora Healthcare working as a float nurse in OB/GYN, behavioral health, pediatrics, family practice and internal medicine. I recently started a new position with St Elizabeth hospital in the heart and lung unit. I previously took care of a paraplegic man in his home for 3 years with a hoyer lift. I would go to his home every morning before work and give him a shower/ get him ready for the day and give him any meds or apply any topicals he may have needed. I loved doing this, I am capable and I am more than willing to help where help is needed. I currently work Monday-Thursday 830:430. I would be willing to help any times outside of those hours. Hi there, my name is Jennifer. I'm 24 years old from Seymour Wisconsin. I currently live in Hobart Wisconsin. I started care giving when I was 15 years old when I started helping take care of numerous people in my family. I didn't fully start care giving on a professional level until I was 18 years old. I really do enjoy care giving , I always have. Being able to help someone with something they are no longer able to do themselves , or just even being able to make someone's day better with my help or just by my company, makes me happy. I have completed all my basic CBRF trainings. And just through the years it has gave me a great deal of knowledge and experience to assist me on a daily basis with my work.

Throughout my life I have always been a caregiver. Home health in Rochester MN started my first paid position as a care giver. Over the past 9 years I have cared for my elderly parents from the onset of terminal illness through hospice prompting me to obtain my CNA certificate where I graduated validictorian. I have also spent my life caring for those with disabilities as I have and older brother who was born mentally disabled. I have a exhuberant amount of compassion and empathy, strong morals and values and can provide the utlimate care without enabling.

I became a care giver because my love to help others. I volunteered at the local nursing homes, veterans hospital and at church. Why do I like being a caregiver? I would have to say being able to help others and the history in the hearts and minds of my patients. I learn more from first hand accounts of the individuals who have live it. What is a personal achievement I am most proud of? I served in the military as a hospital corpsman for 5 years. I was deployed during Desert Storm and was able to educate and save all the marines under my care. I am thoughtful and loyal. My experiences and knowledge have further confirmed why I love what I do. Being a good Dad and Gpa are very important to me.
