I have many years of experience and education. I have worked in a hospital setting from 1995 to 2015 I have many years of experience with adults with mental illnesses and addictions. I have worked with high risk juveniles. I am CBRF certified and CPR certified. I truly enjoy my work, building a bond with my residents, but always on a professional level. I am very comfortable with working with addiction and mental illnesses.

I love helping people! Caregiving has been my dream since I first started this career when I obtained my CNA license at 15 years old. Ever since I was a little girl, I would go with my mom to volunteer at care facilities and nursing homes. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is helping others, and making them feel secure and comfortable. I am very compassionate and have a huge heart for others

I love being a caregiver because it is a very rewarding job. It is dealing with people and it has always been a great experience of taking care and they make you feel important in their life. Sometimes they even make you a part of their family. I have been a caregiver for 5 years and i love every single of it. i am a certified cna and home health aid.

I became a caregiver initially as I was applying to nursing school and needed a CNA license. I instantly fell in love with the hands on patient care aspect of my job. I truly enjoy being able to connect with my residents and give them the respect and level of care they deserve. While working with the elderly I strive to treat them as I would my own grandparents. In fact, the summer after my freshman year of college, I moved in with my grandfather who had advanced stage Parkinson's disease to be his primary caregiver. Having worked with several residents who's Parkinson's stages ranged from newly diagnosed to advanced stages, as well as having an Alzheimer's Association certification, I felt well prepared to handle his needs. Although he passed after a few short months, I am very proud that I was able to let him stay in his home as he desired and make his last few months the best they could be. I am a last semester social work student at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. I have an American Sign Language certificate and am BLS certified as well. My hobbies include traveling, hockey, hiking, fishing and spending time with my family. My grandfather taught me many things in life but the most important was to treat everyone the way you would like to be treated.

I became a caregiver because I enjoy working with the elderly. I like being a caregiver because I care about the elderly and I want to make a difference in their everyday life. A personal achievement that I am proud of is long term. My lifetime goal is to work to help people live the remainder of their life feeling safe, loved, and happy. I live in Thorp Wisconsin with my husband Jeff and two dogs. We enjoy listening to music and spending time with our families.

I became a caregiver was I was 19yrs old. I want to help people, my grandpa was sick with cancer. I seen all the care that he got from caregivers that came in to help him and I wanted to do that. The most I like about being a caregiver is the faces on people that I help. The little things, the touch to let someone know that you are there, fixing of the pillow so it is tuck under the head, eye contact to let them know you are listening, hold the hand when someone is having a bad day, sit by the bedside until they fall asleep,the interaction that I get from someone, the smile on someone's face. I'm 39yrs old married for 5yrs have two girls and one step-daughter. Grew up in San Diego Ca. moved up here when I was in high school, been here ever since. My father was in the navy station in the Philippines when me met my mother. Moved back to the states when I was two, moved around from difference bases. At the age of five he got station in San Diego where I lived until I moved up here. This is where my dad's side of the family is from.

I am a great caregiver because I love being around people I love to have extra experience. I want to learn about different people get them out more if they want to see more things in the world keeping them healthy making sure I'm caring for their needs and wants I love being a personal care worker because it's always something I've wanted to do and I've been doing it for at least 6 years now I also have been working and my same house for 2 years and tell my company switched over to a different company and I've been here since the new company has started taking care of the same guys for a year now. I also have three children two girls and one boy that attend school I am 26 years old and I've been a personal care worker since I was 18 I am also up to date on the Wisconsin registry for first aid and CPR medication fire safety clients rights Etc. I love to conversate and talk a lot go places that they like to go I am also planning on taking a CNA class this summer and if you have any more questions about me I'm willing to answer anything otherwise I have great responsibility great hygiene great listener easy learner pick up on things very fast. And I'm very proud of myself for doing what I do today because this is what I love to do.

I originally took the CNA course just to satisfy a RN school prerequisite. As it turns out, I got my permit and began working the summer before I was supposed to start nursing school. Never managed to pass nursing school but after some time that fact didn't really matter; I realized I was having a blast at being an aide. I get to have full patient contact, get to know everyone. I realized just how important being an advocate for patients I am responsible for caring for is. I do a job not many people can do. I have had supervisors, family members et al admit that fact. It is nice to be needed, wanted but most of all, trusted. I tend to build a repo ire with patients and their family members and address their concerns within my scope or relay those concerns to appropriate professionals.

I went straight into caregiving & enjoyed helping with the day to day needs & bringing joy to the people I cared for. I am clean, organized, compassionate, & calm. If I can help & bring enjoyment, then it's been a good day.
