I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one on one interaction with others. I enjoy taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I like doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. Its essential that a caregiver feel the desire to want to help by showing empathy and compassion,I let my patient know I care about them I do what I can to help, not because I have to but because I want to im patient reliable and trustworthy. There are many qualities that make one a great caregiver. My qualities are that I try to do my best when working with residents as well as trying to understand them. Aging out does not mean they do not have needs or that they should not be heard, I try to use critical thinking and make every resident as comfortable as possible so their needs are being met. I am an outgoing person I love to help others and exceed my job expectations, I am a carrying person who is easygoing and takes responsibilities as well as the needs of others seriously. I have a grandfather with dementia and this made me want to help others who need an assistant. I have seen the lack of caregivers there is for elders. I love caregiving because it allows me to have a better understanding of what goes on in others' life and I get to be part of people's life making a difference in assisting them or bringing them a smile. I am proud of the person I am and how far I have gotten with my psychology and social work bachelors that I am currently working on.
