Hello! My name is Jessica Cox. I was educated as a historian, but in my current job as a caregiver, I take care of a lovely one year old girl. Watching her learn and grow every day is amazing, and I am always in awe. Since it has been winter, many of our days have been spent reading and playing with blocks. I love to give care and companionship to those who need it. I look forward to this next stage in my career; caring for people is something I wish to do for the foreseeable future.
I became an EMT-IV 7 years ago, I enjoy the medical field and the sense of accomplishment it gives me after helping someone. I resigned from EMS because of the 48 and some 72 hour straight shifts. It was interfering with my family time. My father in law was in a horrible ma 8 years ago and it left him immobile, he was a diabetic, had a feeding tube and colostomy bag. After bringing him home from the MED of 6 months, I chose to help care for him. After his passing, I then decided I wished to use my knowledge and my love for helping others in a different atmosphere just as I did for him.

The thing that helps me be a great caregiver is that I had a stroke and I was paralyzed from neck down and others helped me regain my strength in my time of need when I couldn't do anything for myself. What attracted me is the sickness that I experienced and was fighting for my life. The thing I enjoy most is helping others and making a difference in someone life. I'm proud that I graduated college and chooed to make wise descions in my life to what's right and always treat others with respect most of all continuing to be a honest person to all people.

I have been a C.N.A for 16 years. I enjoy my job very much. I became a care giver when my father was sick with cancer, congestive heart failure, c.o.p.d and ect. I enjoyed taking care of him. then my mother got sick with small cell lung cancer. and taking care of them I knew it was what I wanted to do with my life. and I enjoy working with all my patient. but most of all I enjoy listen to them and helping them to live life to the fullest. being C.N.A is for people that have caring heart and love helping people with every day life. fill free to call if no answer please leave me a message and I will call you back as soon as possible thank you for your time
I naturally became a caregiver by helping my mom take care of my disabled brother with heart conditions growing up. I then volunteered to take a year off from college to help take care of my dad's mother, then again left one job to move in and take care of my mother's mother. I've always been someone who cared whole heartedly about other people and I believe that EVERYONE should have someone there for them when they need assistance that actually cared versus just working a job and treating them horrible. I like the feeling that being a caregiver gives me. It's a tough job emotionally at times but it's so rewarding knowing that I am the one that was there for someone during their time of need. That I done something good in the world and hopefully changed their life for the better.
