I am a great caregiver because I first learned how to be one by helping my parents and my brother. They had certain disabilities, both physical and mental/psychological, that touched my heart and helped me realize the importance of quality of life to everyone, not just to those who are healthy. Then, I achieved 89 credits towards my BSN (bachelors degree in nursing) and graduated with honors in Surgical Technolgy from Tennessee Technology Center, First Aid at MTSU, and am a licensed CNA and am CPR/BLS certified, and have a Leadership Award from St. Thomas Hospital. I currently work at a hospital as a CNA/PCA and am looking to work part-time to possibly full-time for someone who has the need for home health and/or caregiver needs. I have excellent references and take my work seriously!
Skills & Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
my personality is very spontaneous and i love to just talk and have good conversions and if someone wants to do something i'm always the first one to say i'm in! what attracted to being a care giver is the fact t hat so many nursing homes don't give the elderly that they need, don't get me wrong i do know that they help but they don't engage with them, they treat them as a patient not a person. technically I've never been a certified caregiver but when my grandmother as sick i did all i could to make her last days worth it and i believe she died happy and not miserable, and not because of me but just being able to feel what its like to live a youthful life again before it was gone. a personal achievement i'm proud of is being 18 years old and already have a life plan.

I have been a care giver since 2006 and have loved every minute of it. I have been in A/p A/R all office work and still love the care giving has been my best job. I am 57 hope to have many more years as a care giver. I have 2 grown children I as so proud of and 3 grand children I am proud of .
My position as a CNA is to make sure the patients requirements are fulfilled. Making sure to leave them as Comfortable as possible. I'll make sure they are washed and have clean clothes on. I'll make sure they eat all of their meals. Make sure they go to the bathroom throughout the day. Make sure they interact with others & when it's time for them to go to bed or relax, I'll make sure they don't have needs that aren't answered.
Nursing has been such a reward in my life. I became a nurse because I had family members that became chronically ill and I wanted to be able to care for them. This is my mentality when I care for others; I approach health as a whole person mind body and soul. My goal is to improve someone's daily life whether it be a keen ability to treat medical needs or by lending a hand, being a trusting companion, a compassionate ear or a shoulder to cry on. I have practiced nursing in critical care, memory care & health maintenance. My experiences & relationships are what allow me to continue to receive so many rewards and wins in my career.
I am a dependable and compassionate caregiver. I have been working in senior care for 5 years, 3 being at an assisted living facility and 2 being home care. I pride myself on being able to quickly learn new skills and adapt to any situation. In the past I have assisted clients with their activities of daily living, built strong bonds with them, taken vital signs, and light house work. My current Client I have been with close to a year but am hoping to find a better fit schedule for my family.
I became a caregiver to my grandmother (my best friend) when she was 88. She developed dementia then. I also was a caregiver to my mother in law who had alzheimer's. I educated myself and also had worked in a nursing on caring for the elderly. I believe our elderly deserves to live as comfortably and be treated with respect and dignity. I enjoy caring for people and making their life the best that I can. I later became a caregive part time in addition to my full time job for extra income. Since being laid off I decided to pursue caregiving because I enjoy it.
I enjoy taking care of people because I had to take care of my mom before she died and my daughter before she that and I take care of everyone in the family when it gets sick ill or need some kind of assistant when they get out of the hospital so that's why I love taking care of people I also like taking care of kids too I enjoyed that that's what God have me to do
