I have been a CNA for 30 +years. Ten or more of those years as a Caregiver, also. I have experience in long-term and short-term care. I have training in home health, hospice, palliative care, private sitter, and companion care. I work as a attendant now with At Home Healthcare, United Healthcare and a Diamond Professional Caregiver with CareLinx. I've taken the academy classes with CareLinx so I could refresh my skills. I have passed my background screening and I am CPR certified, too. I enjoy working with seniors because some of them have lived some adventurous lives. My greatest achievement is making a difference in their lives and they tell you so. When your day is over you know you have done your best. You can look up and smile.
I am a great caregiver because I am a very caring and passionate person. I treat all my clients with the utmost respect and care for them like I would care for my family members. I love what I do and enjoy seeing the smiles on the clients faces when I have them talk about their lives & families .
Skills & Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Hi there! I became a CNA in 2005, after taken care of my grandmother her last few years. The way I felt after taking care of her, I knew taking care of others was my calling. I can remember her always telling me with my heart and my compassion I needed to pursue nursing in some way. I find it so very rewarding to care for my elder and give back to them. I enjoy seeing them smile cause I made there day by simply just listening to them, assisting them with things, playing a game, or cleaning them up. I am very organized, responsible, dedicated, compassionate and truly love caring for my elders. I have been nominated twice in my CNA career for CNA of the year. I feel very blessed that I was recognized for my hard work and dedication.

My name is Angela I am 34 yrs old, I'm an honest, christian girl. I'm a hard worker, easy going and patient and loyal. I became interested in being a caregiver while taking the CNA program for extra points to go towards going to LVN school. I realized how difficult it can be to become an elderly person and lose control of things that you use to have control over or lose senses you used to have. I want to be able to assist and help someone with their activities of daily living to the best of my ability to help the resident enjoy the rest of their life to the fullest. I enjoy being a caregiver because I love getting to know the resident and hearing the stories from their past and i can also go home at the end of a shift knowing I might put a little light in their life even though they maybe having a hard time with their aging process . I have a couple personal achievements that I am proud of, One would be setting my mind and working hard to lose 30lbs in 6 months time and two would be realizing even though I am 34 its never to late to go back to school and do something your passionate about.
As long as I can remember I have always liked helping people that's why i started out being a CNA over 10 years ago. I find joy in being able to assist others with things that they can't seem to do anymore or even just being a listening ear when they want to talk about their good old days.
I have work with people for a long time i work home health care for a long time for christus st Micheal home health for 13 years My grandmother I helped my mother take care of her just taking to them helping them do something that they just can't do anymore that I can help people that can't do and I can help and give them the care that they deserve
I take what I do above and beyond what is expected of me. When someone needs care I do my very best of their needs plus take extra innitive making sure the person is made comfortable in their own home. What attracted me to caregiving will have to be I feel I am natural carer for any one who might need someone that really cares. I do treat each and every one as if a part of my family ..as their family members. Again I try to go above and beyond for thoat extra care. What do I enjoy the most? Just being able have the time in showing the person in my charge the compassion they do deserve. My personal achievement will be when becoming full time at Sodalis then Resident Medication Aide..also being given the responsibility of training new hires
I think that the best traits I carry as a caregiver, is that I am patient, and sympathetic as well. I truly care for each and every person I am able to care for. I've always had a passion for the Senior Community, I've always loved their wisdom and looked up to it. Once I got older, I wanted to learn more, and give back to them. The one thing I find most rewarding, and that I enjoy most about being a caregiver, is that I get to help somebody everyday. Whether it's something small, or large. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of is when I was 15 years old, I went to a local small college to go through their CNA program, and while doing so I worked my clinical hours at the local nursing home. There I was exposed to a vast majority of diverse needs, rapidly, and it helped me grow and learn to love this career even more so.
I have been around elderly patients since 1996. My first job and in a nursing home in the dietary department. After working in that department I realized I wanted to be more involved with patient care. I received my CNA license in 2003. I have worked in facilities, home health aide for companies and privately. I enjoy the relationships I form with the patients and their families. They become my family.

I became a caregiver so I could help take care of my dad. I treat my clients like I want my parents treated. I receive satisfaction and reward in knowing that I can help someone do something that they can't do on their own. I am continuing my education to become a nurse. I'm a veteran and retired truck driver looking for part time work to subsidize income while I continue my education. I enjoy caring for those who can't care for themselves. I'm married and have two children at home.
Skills & Certifications: CNA, Certified Medication Aide
The fact of just being able, wanting, and loving to be there to help others is rewarding for me itself the great feeling it brings and smile it gives to my heart. My mother and grandmother attracted me to being a caregiver the most, but also being there to help others in the world to see the joy and smiles on their faces from even the smallest things. I enjoy being able to listen, gain wisdom, embrace the love, and leaving moments to remember just by simply being there for someone else. I can say I'm proud of finally being able to get my CNA certificate, furthering my career in Medical Assistant and showing my children to never give up, it's not ever too late!
