I have been a CNA since September 2002. When I initially took the course, I was doing it for the paycheck. It didn't take long to realize and understand that no amount of money could make me feel as wonderful as what providing care for the elderly did\does. I have tried to go in to other areas of employment, but my heart is in Nursing. I truly believe that this is my calling. By January 2019, I will be enrolled in the LVN program through HMH in Huntsville, TX. Some thing that I have been simply dreaming about. I have Grandparents and other people that I care deeply about. Each and every time I come in contact with a patient\resident, I care for them and treat them as I EXPECT for some one in my own family to be treated. I play close attention to detail and act swiftly if there are any concerns of any kind.

My true calling is helping people. I realize in 2000 when I was a receptionist and everybody from the public the my coworker love my personality. In 2009 when I became a CNA whatever job I had the patients and staff always called and preferred me because I was very helpful and always at work and had a good attitude. I move back home to take care of a sick parent and her mentally challenge brother with very little help. During that time I learned a whole lot. I feel there is nothing I can't do when it comes to helping people as a caregiver.
I love private sitting. I want to give back to those that helped me as a child. I have kept the same job in hospitality for over 20 years and supported myself. Very proud that I could do that. I also kept a part time job caring for hospice patients which is my passion. My Grandparents raised my sisters and myself. We were around Srs day end and day out. I wanted to grow up and be successful, loving, friendly people like them. I want them to be comfortable in their old age. They made the world for me. I can help them enjoy it.
