Devoting most of my time to the care of someone else is one of the most selfless things someone can do, but it's not only about the time involved. Being able to understand the person you're caring for, knowing their problems, challenges and desires will not only make it easier to care for them, but will undoubtedly improve the relationship you have with each other. Empathy is a big aspect of that, and being able to put yourself in someone else's shoes and be empathetic will only increase the quality of care you're providing. As instrumental as caregivers are, communication is key. It can be something as simple as going through the day's schedule, or complicated as discussing health concerns, but no matter what it is, it must be done well. Subpar communication will do nothing beneficial for the relationship, and in fact, could damage it. Furthermore, as it's likely there's more than one caregiver in the individual's life, and because of all the moving parts, communication is key to get information to all the relevant parties. Whether it's relaying health information or just remaining congenial, communication between caregivers is important, second only to communicating with the individual.
I enjoy helping people reach their best potential. I love how the small things bring someone who needs help great joy and excitement. I've been a care giver for 20yrs and I have witnessed many residents/ clients improve their quality of life because of this care. I am currently waiting to return to the next semester of school, so that I can further my nursing goals. I am the program manager of the facility I work for. I have maintained this position for the last 6+ years. I have worked with people with different areas of intellectual disabilities from mild, moderate, profound, and severe disabilities. I manage the appointments of all 6 residents in the home year round. Attend all meetings and ensure their quality of care is met on a daily basis.
I am passionate about what I do. I chose to be a caregiver because I love helping others. I am caring, loving and compassionate. I have over 8 years of experience with caring for and providing the care and love that is needed for the ones who are no longer able to care for themselves. it takes a special person to be a caregiver and I am that person. I have cared for many different people with many different illnesses and I am confident in saying I am able to provide care for anyone's loved one.

I have experience with diabetic patients taking blood sugar and giving insulin. I do housekeeping and run errands. I assist with hygiene showers and dressing. I prepare meals and assist with feeding. Most of all o have compassion and feel as though this my calling to help the elderly.

I have been taking care of my father for the past seven years through his battle with cancer. I have experience with tracheotomy and laryngectomy care, feeding tube care, as well as housekeeping, meal preparation and companionship. I think our elderly need to be looked after with grace and love and families are stressed out enough at work worrying about their loved ones. I am looking forward to working with your schedule and be that relief to you and your family.

I am a mother of six children, I have been a nurse for 8 years. I am dedicated to helping people and I have known I wanted to be a nurse since I was seven years old. I am currently at the school district, and I wanted to be able to use my clinical skills to do something to give to my field of nursing since I do not do a lot of that where I currently am working. I love being a healthcare provider, and being a home health care provider is a little different, but I feel like I can be a huge help in people's lives, and be able to connect with people in a way that you do not have time to do sometimes when you are working in a hospital. I am proud that I can love what I do and provide for my family at the same time.
