Hello, I'm Laura 32 years old and I have been a nursing assistant for about 10 years. Unfortunately, I have allowed my certification to lapse but will hopefully be able to reinstate it some time in the near future. I have worked in long-term care and hospital settings. I also started working with in home support service clients at 16 with my mother and started working as a nanny at 18 and have worked with clients from 9 days old to 99 years old. I am very comfortable working in different settings and with a variety of personalities. I have impeccable references and usually only work for clients that have been referred to me by former clients however I am trying to expand my horizons and try something new. I have worked with patients in a facility as well as at home who have g-tubes, foley and straight catheters, and colostomy bags. In the near future I hope to complete school, which I have put on hold for now due to financial difficulties, and continue to grow through helping others during a most difficult time in their lives.
The reason I became a caregiver was because my grandmother died alone in a nursing home. I have also worked in facilities. I left due to the fact I didn't like the way the clients were treated I couldn't give them enough attention. The reason why I love working in homes with one or two clients at a time is because you get to know them you get to bond with them and they become like family. 80% of my clients I have stayed with till the end and that is because most of my clients are terminal.
My name is Sadie . I originally became a caregiver after caring for my mother. I realized that I loved the personal connection and I knew whatever I chose to do in life , I wanted to be in a position to make people happy . I am a skilled caregiver .I have worked with severely disabled people ,including those with developmental delays as well as senior care.I have experience with GTubes ,colostomy care, vitals ,aggressive behavior and the list goes on , nothing surprises me anymore! When I arrive at work I never feel as if I'm working. Being able to enrich someone's life brings the same happiness to mine. My biggest blessings in life are my daughters! I love to cook elaborate meals ,garden and travel.
Caring and compassionate Christian nurse with over 25 years experience. CNA certified, and a graduate from Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts LVN program. Professional CPR Certified. Honest, dependable, knowledgeable and ethical. I love to care for senior citizens and interact with them playing cards, listening to old music, gardening, watching old movies or just talking with them. I feel I'm the best candidate to care for your loved one to keep them safe, happy, and well cared for.
I Am a very honest fun loving Caring Lady, I enjoy putting that smile on everyone's face, I have always been very interested in learning all about my patients life and experiences I find it to be very fascinating, I went into the nursing field because I love caring for the elderly. I enjoy most about being a caregiver when I see the smile on my patients face as I walk into the door, I love talking about their life and their family history, the patient is the most important. My personal achievement was when I was caring for a gentleman in San Jose he had just had a major back surgery they glued his nerves together so he was pretty much paralyzed when i started caring for him, the doctors told him that he would not walk again, well I was with him for almost a year in a half I did physcial therapy with him every single day we went on walks etc.. I am very proud to say this gentleman is walking, dancing and driving he is now 82 years of age..
Hello, I'm an LVN, but before I was an LVN I was a caregiver at a senior living facility. I am very caring, compassionate and responsible. I first became a caregiver when I decided that I wanted to become a nurse. I thought it would be a great experience to help people and learn a little bit more about the non-medical aspect of helping people heal. I fell in love with my job as a caregiver, listening to my residents stories, going on walks with them, helping them get through tough days and enjoying the good days. The amazing thing about working with the same people everyday was that I was able to bond and care for them as if though they were my family members. I worked there for two years, got through collage and enrolled in the LVN program and graduated, got my LVN license and my IV/ blood withdrawal certification, worked in the field but I decided that I missed caregiving.
I really enjoy working with people in a home care setting, it is essential that a caregiver feel the desire to want to help. I think most importantly showing both empathy and compassion each day. I feel my happiest and best while helping out. It helps to put yourself in the other person's shoes and what it might be like to ask people for help. I have lots of patience and believe it's one of the reasons I make a good caregiver.I did Licensed Childcare for over 20+ years. I'm reliable, and also flexible. I believe a great caregiver is someone that can be counted on to be there. I enjoy being a caregiver as I have a natural ability to help out and feel most proud of my achievements with helping with my dementia clients.
I am the most compassionate, patient, empathetic, kind, caring, hard working individual you will ever meet! I have enjoyed working in the medical field for 15+ years until i began caring for my loved one for 15 years who had dementia and later Alzheimers and wished to remain in her own home so i honored this wish and i found a new calling. Having a medical background and knowledge of diseases and symptoms and medications has been of benefit working as a caregiver and helps me to assess an individuals care needs as i always give 200% and strive to provide the best care possible.
I started out as a CNA when I was 16 years old in a convalescent home, I was in the Army from 1975 to 1978. I used the GI Bill to become an LVN. I've worked in LTC, rehabilitation and acute care settings. you name it I've probably done it. My father was a minister and my Mom always wanted to be a nurse, however she kept busy being a ministers wife, I took care of both of them in their last days. I now prefer to take care of people in their homes, which I believe is the ideal setting and much less stressful.
There are several reasons why I think that I am a great caregiver. I have a desire to want to assist. This will let the patients know that I care about them and want to do what I can for them. Another reason that I think that I am a great caregiver is that I am patience. I know that it is tough being in their shoes. Next , I am reliable. You count on me being there if I make a commitment. Last, but not least, I am trustworthy. Patients are in vulnerable positions ,and they need folks that they can trust in their homes.
As a previous CNA and current state license caregiver with 8 years experience, I left facility work to work in private home care because I believe the care is much more focused on the client. The quality of care is specifically focused on the needs of the client rather than a system that is set up to focus on the overall profitability of a larger organization. The client receives the one-on-one attention they deserve. My compassion for people allows me to provide quality care while assessing the client and their needs.
I love to consider myself an amazing caregiver! I care very deeply for my clients and loved ones! Most in my line of work are going to RN school. Not me I love my job! This is my calling. To be here for my clients in the best comforting loving way possible is what I strive for. But also know when the keep talking and do it comes in with our agitated clients. I am very experienced with aggression and alhtizmer, dementia and many more factors of this final stage of life! . I'm extremely proud to say I have never had a client or family member not like me. I am very approachable and easy to get along with. I also read people very well. Most of the time lol. Thank you for your time and consideration have a blessed day 2092304001
