My name is Maria Roman. I have been a caregiver for 4 years . I have experience in grooming , light cleaning , meal preparation, taking V/S ,toileting , administrating medication. I also have my CPR card . I have worked with clients with depression, hepatitis, tracheostomy's, g-tube and many more things as well. I love what I do . I enjoy helping people who are in need .

I became a great caregiver due to my patients, I am a good listener, I learn by observing what my client may need or want. I was attracted to becoming a caregiver when I knew I wanted to be a nurse, I started housekeeping at a hosptial and I wanted to work my way up from there. Smiles and laughter of a client is what I enjoy most about being a caregiver. When they know you are there to put their safety and needs first. My personal achievement I am proud of is going to Psych Tech school that help me gain more knowledge and understanding of human behavior and disorders.

My work experience as a Senior Trauma Tech in the hospital Emergency Room for more than 20 years has transformed my life simply into saving lives and caring for sick patients. It has become my second nature to care for life. I have the compassion, patience, respect for sick patients, and knowledge to take care and help patients. I would say that my personal achievement is having the 20 plus years loyalty working in the patient care field and I still want to do it.

Hi my name is Kelly Leavens , I've worked for five years as a CN at Hanford nursing I loved it but the hours I worked I never seen my girls . I started working for Shelly Baird as a CNA in the nurses office were I did daily tasks that was needed , 4 years into this the state changed to were it had to be a LVN , so I was placed in a classroom as a instructional aide , I didn't renew my CNA license since I didn't need it for this job . I've worked at Shelly Baird for 14 years , working with numerous disorders , I have worked with the severely disabled through this time . One of my Students I would care for in her home for 4 years . She started hospice 2 years ago and I put in my noticed at Shelly Baird so I could take care of her full time . She recently passed and so I'm looking to use my skills , I've cooked , cleaned , given meds , changed g tubes , used oxygen she was very fragile , now that she's gone and taken a peice of my heart I need to keep busy , I don't drink or smoke and put my heart into my work , my children are grown and I have reliable transportation and I am available at any time for emergencies as well thank you !!

I am a hard working, flexible, and caring individual who loves making a difference in a persons life. I am a quick learner and strive to involve all those in the care of the client.

I became a caregiver because I find true gratification in the work. Creating relationships and taking the weight of caregiving off the families hands is fulfilling.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I have compassion and I enjoy helping other people. I got into this business when I helped my father thru his stage 4 throat cancer. I will never forget that last 6 months and the time we spent together as adults I'll treasure them always. I learned while helping my father that sometimes independent people need help too but don't want to ask and I enjoy being the one to give help

I thrive when helping others. The best way to help yourself is simply by serving anyone that crosses your path. I love caring for the elderly population. To be fair, I love caring for almost every age group because everyone deserves a little help sometimes. I want to be the person that your family member knows they can count on to get the job done. I have spent the last few years as an EMT and It has taught me to be so respectful of everyone I encounter. My medical knowledge is helpful when dealing with a chronically ill person and I will always have my patients best interest at heart.
