I am a very caring, kind, intelligent, respectful, and responsible. As for what attracted me to be a care giver is I see so many articles and shows on tv showing all of these residents being abused and it broke my heart and I wanted to make a difference so I decided to go to a technical high school were I got my CNA as well as all of my other certifications. What I enjoy most about being a care giver is the smiles I get when I do even the littlest thing s for my residents I am not saying it is always easy or picture perfect but I think of my residents as family members and treat them exactly how I would treat my own family member because you always have to think they did not ask to be in there situation and that is what I always refer back to. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of is I went to a technical high school and got all of my certifications there and now am currently attending a university to further my education while working per diem. As well as currently looking for a full time job so I can continue helping people while also saving money for college.

I am a passionate caregiver with so many years of experience in caregiving. I am honest , patient ,humble and diligent person who is dedicated and committed to my work. What gets me motivated most as a caregiver is to see that the people I care for are happy and well because of the service I offered. Being a caregiver is such an honor - it's all about putting away your needs to assist others. Knowing that your care and kindness can bring joy and happiness to someone else is priceless. The moments when you can reflect back and see how you have helped someone is what caregiving is all about.

Some expertise that help me be a great caregiver are that I'm very patient, have a lot of experience, and love helping others. What attracted me is my mom being my cheerleader since she is a registered nurse so seeing her succeed in what she does pushed me to get into the medical field. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is seeing the smile on my residents face when they know they are going to be taken care of and that I'm there to help. A personal achievement I am proud at would be getting my CNA my senior year of high school.

It was 19 yrs ago when my mom dragged me to school w her to learn something new which happen to be Home Health Aide classes. This was back when HHAs needed to be certified w the state of CT. Anyhow make a long story short my 1st day of hands on in clinical I had the hardest resident any newbie would be intimidated by...but not me. The resident actually was wonderful and I handled my very first colostomy bag like I was born to do this kind of work. From there I worked hard and worked my way up to being a CNA and here it is almost 20yrs later and I am still here serving others the sick/disabled...young or elderly no matter what age or how hard the day may be for me I ALWAYS put my head to my pillow with a feeling of satisfaction like I can't explain to anyone. I will continue serving others till the good Lord tells me it's time to stop.

I believe I am a great caregiver because I love people. I always believe you treat those as you would want to be treated as well. I cared for my mother in law with multiple health issues until her passing in 2014, as well as my father in law on hospice u til his passing in 2021. I love being a caregiver because their are so many people whose family's push them off to the side and no longer want to be around as they get sickly or elderly and that is a horrible way to be. But I want to be the person that someone looks forward to seeing everyday!

I feel I'm a great Caregiver only because I take care of my clients as if they were my own family members, and the reason I got into this type of work is because I have family members with disabilities and when I was younger I always enjoyed helping them and putting a smile on there face.I feel as though when I've helped someone do something they are unable to do for themselves I've accomplished my goal for the day,and that's why I really enjoy my field of work.
