I started caring for people even before I completed my CNA certification. I've always had a passion to help people in need and to be a companion to people that don't have anyone else. I am very passionate about what I do because I love what I do. I am very proud of the education that I continue to pursue. My ultimate goal is to become a nurse. The thing I enjoy the most about this job is the different people I get to care for. I've learned a lot from my clients ,and I know that they could be completely comfortable with me.

I'm caring and compassionate. Well organized and a self starter. I have a strong respect for the elderly, and became interested in working with them when I was a chef/assistant manager of the dining facility at an independent living center. Since then, I've worked in several different types of living facilities, and then became an activities director to be more hands on. I started my own in home care business in Texas. I'm new to Connecticut. I have extensive experience in different dietary needs, as well as physical and mental needs.
I do require my clients be at least partially mobile, and able to assist in their maneuvering. An exception would be if I am not required to help an immobile client move.
I have 18 years of caregiver experience. I have a CNA for about 15 years. I started caring for folks because back in Africa, we care for our family members so it has been something in my nature to care for people. When I care for elderly folks, I treat them as if they were my family members.
I've worked with all types of senior patients. Most patients have conditions of stroke, dementia, mentally challenged patients, cancer patient, hospice etc.

People tell me that I go beyond my Call of Duty I love caring for people and helping them do be able to stay home in their homes being their friend and learning things from them and with my experience I'm able to do so much
As a young adult all I knew was my grandmother.
She taught me everything I knew until she got sick.
Her body started to break down and I had to take care of her.
I prepared her meals, breakfast and dinner and gave her showers also dressed her.
She got really bad and she was forced into a nursing home because nobody was able to give her the proper care she needed.
She passed away in the nursing home.
I felt nothing but guilt that I didn't have the skills to take care of her so she could be comfortable at her own home.
So I made an effort to be the best CNA for others on this planet. So their families can get proper care in the comfort of their homes.
