I have been a caregiver since 2001. (I do have a resume upon request.) I love being a caregiver. I love being there for others and helping as much as I can, it makes me feel really proud and happy. I feel good going home after work knowing that I have made a little difference in someone's day. I feel that being a caregiver is not just a job that you have to have because you need a job and have to pay bills. I believe that my role as a caregiver really matters. I feel that in some way, big or small, I made a difference. I feel that I am very reliable honest and above all I very flexible and patient. I am here to help make things easier on you. I am compassionately committed to being a caregiver.
I am a passionate, understanding, and considerate caregiver I take my job seriously and treat my patients as if they were my own family. I became a CNA because I love to help people in any way shape or form I enjoy being a CNA because of the different people I get to meet and the experiences I share with them along the way. I am glad I did go and get my CNA I know there's definitely more in store for me.
I had surgery 25 years ago and being dependent on another was a humbling experience. On regaining my health, I went to nursing school, however, the trajectory of my life cut that dream short but haven't denied me the capability to make a difference. I've worked privately these past 15 years in the homes of a few, and today my family comes in all colors. My two recent clients had asked me to stay with them to the end, which I honored. Today, their children stay in constant communication and we visit each other homes. The extra love has been my reward in honoring what I do.... when I see my Jewish and German families.
My initial interest in caregiving began when I started caring for my Grandmother who was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 1987. I saw the difference it made in her life to have someone available and willing to help her with the things that most of us are able to take care of ourselves. We take for granted every day that we are healthy and able to perform these tasks. It is a blessing to have someone who is available to help us with these things when we are no longer able to do them. In my time as a caregiver, I feel that I have seen and helped with everything from the most basic needs to the most complex. There isn't much that scares me. I am easily able to let difficulties with even the most challenging clients slide right off my back. I have thick skin and I am not easily offended. When I accepted the position with Visiting Angels (my correct employer) back in 2011, not only was I able to supervise a crew of approximately 65 caregivers but I had the opportunity to occasionally assist with filling in for those caregivers in the event of an emergency. Since moving here to Florida in late 2015 I have not had the opportunity to work directly with clients since my work now is mostly computer and phone related supervisory duties, remotely from home. I miss the hands on care and the one on one relationships that are formed when caregiving. I am very interested in helping to supplement my income while making a difference in someone else's life.
I worked at home health for 10 years before going to work at the hospital on an OB unit for 27 years and retired in January 2016 and just need to get back into doing some kind of health care I took care of my mom from May 2017 she had cancer and she died in July 2017 and I took care of her in her home until she passed away I like the personalization of taking care of someone in their own home. I have worked in a hospital long enough to know that my love of nursing is with the elderly in in their homes where they feel more comfortable I am proud that I spent 27 years in the hospital taking care of the younger patients but I enjoyed taking care of my mom and knowing that she did not have to go to a nursing home.
I've always loved helping others in time of need. I simply just love what i do. It gives me great joy to know i can help someone when in need. I use to help take care of my grandmother, which had cancer and mace me want to know even more about the medical field. Since then I've strived to make sure i can help others in need. I treat everyone as if i would want myself to be treated if i ever needed care.

I am a God fearing person, I do all that I do with love, respect, honesty , and compassion. It is who I am, it is what makes me the charecteristics that I have. I care for each unique loved one as if they are my own family. I share the joy and wisdom of Christ in my day to day walk. However my actions in performance proves all these... Being a caregiver, is one of thee best and most important position to hold. There is always someone who needs a little or even much of a help in hand as well as family members. My position is to be that one for that someone in one way and another. It's a privilege to be able to do so... As many,or much would say the best thing about being a care giver is at the end of the day you have a joy in your heart, skip in your step and smile in your face knowing you were someone's hero for the day... My most personal achievement that I am proud of is setting goals, accomplishing them and creating more. Never a giver upper but always pressing on for God, family, self, others...
