I'm a great caregiver so I've been told. I make my patients feel comfortable, I get them involved even knowing that their not able too. I make them feel as if they helped. Taking care of someone is a gift and it requires some heavy lifting, and helping people clean themselves... sometimes including wiping their butts, faces, etc. Helping them eat, sit up, get dressed, go outside, and basically making their lives better. It's a tough job, and you have to remember to give them their privacy as much as you can but there to assists at all times. I became a caregiver because I took care of my dad for five years and saw the high demands and how much patience you need to show. I love this profession because I meet new people and they add me as a family member. Even when the patient passes away the family members still keep in touch with me.
I really enjoy helping people. I especially, enjoy helping eldery people. I have worked in nursing for 20 years. I love people and love to help other's. I'm a 38 year old woman who has been in home health care for over 10 years. I have worked with many types of people over the years; such as - children with autism, ex disabled vets, and grandparents who just need a bit of extra help around the house. I don't smoke, I don't do drugs, my car is fully insured as am I as a field nurse. (LPN with IV ans CPR) I take care of your loved one; as I would my loved one. I am currently working a field nurse but need something to supplement that. Depending on what your families needs are, my hourly rate may vary.
