I have 20 + years Professional CNA work in Ft. Myers and Islands & Beaches areas, including as a Team Manger. My experiences in Home Health also started in Ohio. However, When looking at tasks of daily living, one thing that can't be taught is companionship. It only comes with experience. You can live independently, but without a gentle touch, relationships or conversation, emotional well-being & ones sense of self purpose is lost. It also has a profound effect on a patients health, & state of mind. Its impractical to make a positive impact or change without them feeling emotionally and physically safe. I'm very good at caring for others and have always wanted to be a nurse. The appreciation from clients and the feeling of knowing that you are helping people transition from one situation to the other for me is priceless. My first client was given a couple of weeks to live by her Dr. When I took over her care, she lived three more years. I love what I do because it has taught and helped me to be a better person. I am raising two beautiful children and very proud of what I do everyday.
