What attracted me to become a caregiver is because there are some people that do not have family and they often become sad and give up on life. Hi. My name is Teresa D. Johnson. I am an EHS, which is an Early HeadStart Teacher. I have worked at a Private Daycare for the last past years teaching students. Although, now this is my second year teaching students at HeadStart School and yes I love it. However , my most loveable experiences skills are working as a Caregiver, Sitter, Private Sitter, Private Duty, and CNA. I have worked over 30 years in Caregiver field. Some have been through Agencies, Homes, in Hospitals as Private Sitters, Sitters, and etc. My mother at the time was my very first patient. I loved it and desired my heart to continue to for-fill my passionate towards others and that's what attracted me to becoming a Caregiver. It blessed me knowing that I could provide the needs to others as I did for my mother ; after her deceased. My heart desires were to treat others in the field of caregivering like my mother's love, which was a personal achievements for me. Finally, I loved most about being a Caregiver is this, if you don't love what you are call to do in this lifetime and you can't show love as the word of God says to do. Truly, that field of work is definitely not for you. As for my personality traits there is a list : you must have compassion and be compassionate , Caring, Loving, Honesty ,Presistence, Commitment, Faithful, and mostly have a Caregiver Heart. Hello I'm Pamela, mother of 3 and grandmother of 2. What I love about caregiving is the company and conversation. During the years of my work in this profession I have enjoyed my residents. They sometimes just want someone to talk to and give them a little time. That's what has always attracted me to this work. My greatest achievement is knowing and feeling that I make a difference in any and everything I do whether it was just a little bit.

I love taking care of people.

When I was younger I took care of my granny then my grandma when she got sick. I've had such a passion for helping ones who've once helped us. The amount of gratitude that comes from the eyes of the helped ones fuels the love and compassion I've always had even as a child. I become the loved one trying to achieve their goals. I also have the same goals, their struggle is my strength and my will and desire to help even more. I am a strong willing worker. I strive to make my work an accomplishment. Im a very quick learner. I look for patterns and common likes and dislikes, little things that make their day go by easier. I worked hard at a nursing home that trained me in hospice , memory care , the rehab facility as well as assisted living( resident aid , med cart showdeowee ). left there to care for one gentalman in sarasota ( live-in caregiver ) I became family. He passed recently and ive taken it really hard ive bounced from job to job ( caregiving- private care -friends of friends ) not becasue I couldn't do it anymore it just was hard to think I wasnt working for him anymore. I have recollected my self and became an even better person /caregiver/ companion. The amount of love behind every ( client, family member , loved ones ) fuels me. I have a humongous heart. I've become experienced in every day to day living. Over night care , lifting , bathing , housekeeping, errands as well as medicine administrations. I have a very strong will to work and not leave till the job is 100% complete. I'm a very loyal , dedicated worked. I become family.

When I was taking care of my grandmother, I loved the way we talked about her life story. Taking walks with her. Caregivers go shopping with clients and going out to eat with with. I just love listening to them talk. I just love what I do. Its a privilege to walk in and give them a smile on their face.

I've been a Cna for 3 years now. I'm good at everything I do. I love helping others , I take my time with everything that I do. And I'm very respectful. I wanted to be a caregiver because I love helping others. I enjoy everything when it comes down to helping others , I have a good heart. I'm proud of everything I've done in life.
