Why did you become a Caregiver? 1)I love providing home caregiving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing. 2)What do you like about being a Caregiver? Meeting new people and providing caregiving services that they can no longer do for themselves. 3)A personal achievement i'm proud of? was to be able to take care of my grandma in her time of need. 4)Tell us something about yourself. I have experience with Dementia, advanced Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's, late stage Cancer, and Diabetic patients. I have a strong knowledge of medications, various procedures (catheterizing, G-Tube feeding, Tracheostomy care, wound care, sterile dressing changes). I am a single mom to a 11 yr old girl. I'm a business student currently. I've been in healthcare going on 9 years. I have a very broad experience level from homecare to acute hospital care settings including cardiac, med surg, oncology and experience with pretty much all types of potential patients. I'm a hard working person, companionate, level headed, and definitely a multi tasker. I also have owned and operated a small cleaning service for many years for supplemental income. I've learned a lot through out the years, about people, families, life , illness, and death. I understand the toll it can take on a person and their loved ones. I've treated my patients like they were my own flesh and blood and I will continue that for the rest of my days. Always with the up most Dignity and respect, every person, every time.

What makes me a great caregiver is I care for others like they are my family members and I treat them with respect and make sure all their needs and wants are met and make them happy. I became a caregiver at a young age when I has to take care of my grandmother on my own up until she passed away and I just love being a caregiver because I have a big heart.
