Ive been a caregiver for about 10 years. 5 years certified. When I got started in this field it was out of necessity. My grandmother had a stroke and i had no choice. I didn't even want to be a caregiver. After about a year my grandmother passed away. But the feeling that i got from being able to care for her like she cared for me was indescribable. First time I felt i had contributed something; actually helped somebody. Like I made a difference, like i made her last days better. 10 years later I cant picture myself doing anything else. I love what I do. And everytime I help a client or they smile and say thank you its like helping my grandmother all over again.

I enjoy providing exceptional healthcare for the aged, mentally and physically disabled. My background began as a Medic in the United States Army. I transitioned and worked as a licensed Medic for numerous of years providing emergency medicine, basic life support, advanced life support, ambulatory care, geriatric care, dementia and Alzheimer's care, amongst others to say the least. I'm also a licensed Assisted Living Administrator and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration. I have developed a genuine passion over the years for providing assisted living services for the elderly so that they may enjoy living independently at home opposed to living their lives in a nursing facility. With the amount of education, knowledge, and expertise I have gained along with the tools and skills I have, I am more than equipped to provide your loved one with the care he or she needs.

As a mother of three US Marine sons, I too believe in honor, courage, and commitment. I strived to be the best role model for my grown children, all five of them, and am honored by their great contributions to our great country. My passions in life include being physically fit, active, reading, furniture restorations, and as much good old fashioned humor and laughter available! With my experience as a CNA and previous twelve years as an EMT for the Atlanta area, I am very capable and prepared for any job. I consider myself highly dependable, articulate, innovative, and knowledgeable in most aspects of care.

I have worked in Home Health Care for 6 years, and I fully enjoy being present with others and helping them with their day to day activities. I have a deep sense of compassion for those I care for. I've worked with several men and women in their later days, and I feel that my compassion with them helped them feel more comfort in their final moments. I decided to become a caregiver because of work that was deeply personal to me. I worked with my father for four year until he passed, and it gave me a deep appreciation for the work of care-giving. My compassion, love for others, love for giving, and empathy are hallmarks of who I am.

I am Christian at Free Chapel Church. I enjoy to be a caregiver. Am a good listener. I feel helping others is a calling from God. Helping makes a difference in someone's life. I am Licensed Nurse Assistant for 18yrs with experience in all areas settings of Healthcare. I have clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nursing student at Athens Technical College, I am not a graduate. However, I graduated with a HITM Associate degree. My experiences has helped me to perform optimum care to my clients. I have experience taking care of quadriplegia, cerebral palsy, Alzheimers, Dementia, Parkinson's just to name few and the aging seniors. My other experience is taking care of patients recovering from surgical procedures. I have done Catheter cares, colostomies, take vital signs and appropriate documentation, companionship, transfers, hoyer lift and range of motion.
