Everyone I come in contact with loves to talk with me! I'm a very energetic person with lots of smiles. I provide care to others when they can't help themselves. When I was 23 my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and I was with her every step of the way as her caregiver which made fall in love with the caregiving field because I love to help others. My mother had cancer and needed taken care of is how I started my health care I enjoy being able to help people not everyone has family to help them , being an only child to my mother I'm all my mom has and well some ppl have large families and it saddens me that some family members just don't want the responsibility or the burden of taking care of their loved ones and some can't due to their own families or careers and this is why I choice to do home health

I became a caregiver because I knew when I was 10 years old this is what I wanted to do, my mom had to have a major stomach surgery and her incision got infected so the home health nurse came to the out everyday to repack and clean the wound out, I would help the nurse bloody gauze and nasty stuff everywhere but it didn't gross me out, I make an amazing caregiver because I always put myself in a different pair of shoes , what if it was my mother, father, or grandparent? How would I want them to be treated? I am very proud of myself for having that mentality. I thrive off of making my clients/patients smile every single day.

Hi all! Ever since I was little I knew I had a passion for nursing. Working in nursing homes and now home care has reassured me, nursing is the job for me! What I love about being a caregiver is the one-on-one time. I am allowed to really get to know a person, not just read their charts and talk strictly medical history. Home-care allows me to create a relationship that is unable to be made anywhere else.
