Hello, My name is Christina. I've been a caregiver for just over 10 years now. I love my job. I love getting to know someone on a very personal level and trying to make life alittle easier, if only for a little while. I've always wanted to work in the medical field. After getting some wisdom from some family that had been in it for many years, I decided to start with my Certification for nursing assistance first. I've done facility and private care for many years each and love the impact that I have had and equally received from my patients. I've done almost every skill that you can think of, from driving to doctors apt. to staying over night for end of care, and everything in between. One of the things Im most proud of, in regards to caregiving is becoming 'part of the family'. I love that I can give the family members a sense of security knowing that I am there for thier loved ones.

I am cna certified and also am cpr certified. I have been working in the health field since 15 starting as a dietary aide then going on to laundry and housekeeping . Then was put through classes for cna I have been certified for 14 years as a aide and I absolutely love meeting new people helping others and connecting with people as friends not just a caregiver as well . I do not have a drivers license but that absolutely does not stop me from being responsible and dependable when I say I will be or am suppose to be somewhere I will be there most times even earlier then said . I am still able to always grab a few things needed from the grocery store or Walmart as I myself always am needing things. So please don't count me out on the fact that I don't have a license I am still a very dependable and loving caring person who can still do the tasks asked with out one. A little about my family I am a mother of two a daughter who is a senior this year and a son who is in 4th grade my son has autism and adhd so I am also experienced in that and I am also expecting one on the way due in February. I enjoy helping others and listening to.the interesting stories my elders always seem to have and to learn something new. I am currently enrolled in school for Paramedic taking a break to care for my children and save money for the next courses required. I love talking, having fun and dedicated to my goals in life.

I first became interested in working with the elderly in high school. I have worked in care facilities as well as in client homes. Personally I enjoy working in the homes more allowing the person to stay in their home versus going to a facility. The smiles on the clients face is priceless and it makes what ever chore or task worth doing. I have always went the extra mile for the client even if it meant I wouldnt be paid.

I was born In Elizabethtown Pennsylvania. Ever since i was born i have been helping in healthcare. My mother was a nurse at Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, everyday after school i would go and help my mother with keeping the residents calm and happy. In 2011, my mother had my younger sister. she was born with a cardiovascular condition, and that jump started my interest in the medical field. That year in high school i signed up for CNA classes, i started working as a CNA before i even completed classes. I love what i do. I love being able to help clients stay at home and as independent as possible. I love being able to change my residents moods with just one look. Making them smile helps me know i did my job. I absolutely love everything about being a caregiver. I love helping people. I have a younger sibling with a heart condition, another younger sibling with a tracheotomy, and an older sister with an eye condition. My grandfather had diabetes and a cardiovascular condition as i was growing up. When i was in middle school, i stayed with my grandfather so i could help him take his meds, give him his insulin, and make sure he was okay. I helped take care of him up until the time he passed away. Helping people has been in my life for as long as i can remember, its all i know.

I enjoy working with clients, it give me great pleasure to no that I can make a differance in someone life. I have been a Nurses Assistant, and a Direct Support Professional for over 30 years.
