My favorite is to hear when and how or where they grew up. Its a warm nice feeling. My Mom and Dad both passed from cancer so i have lots of experience from taking care of them. I learned how to clean my Moms trach which i feel is a big achievement for me I sure never thought i could ever do something like that, but it was for my Mom and for her to be able to come home so yes I did learn that and would of moved mountains if needed to be. Hello my name is Michelle Dayton. I have worked in home healthcare for close to 25 years. I have been State certified as a CNA in both Michigan and Indiana. I am not currently certified but I am a registered HHA. I get tremendous enjoyment of taking care of others. My healthcare career started as a volunteer for hospice after I lost my grandparents. I've seen what amazing work they did and how at peace my grandparents were when they passed and I chose to pay it forward. I am a little more picky on the people I take care of then other Aides for two reasons: 1. If the client and I seem to clash it's no good for anyone. So I will not waste your time or my own. I will just respectfully decline the offer. 2. The clients I take on will not be just a clients. I love my people like they're my own family and I will do my absolute best to meet every need they have. If I cannot accomplish that I will find someone who can and put you in touch with them, because there's no sense in your family members being unhappy and uncomfortable in their own home. I feel that I am very caring and compassionate with each and every client that I've had. I believe everyone deserves respect, kindness and a voice( your opinion matters to me!) I will never force your family members to do something they don't want to do. I feel they have live through several wars, a great depression and a whole lot of hardship in the past and now is their time to be pampered. If your family member needs anything or you have questions about anything if I can't answer them I will find the answers and if I have the answers I will let you know.

I would first like to explain that I have been a professional registered nurse since 1988. I have been retired for the last 5 years and have been at home. I am a very good and enthusiastic caregiver. I am smart, nurturing and fun to be around. I have always worked in high risk environments from trauma/ emergency departments to intensive care units and medical step-down units. I am at the point in my life where I want to give back. I am settled and wish to be a companion / caregiver for elderly individuals in their homes. I do not have a vehicle, therefore, would not be able to transport any individuals for any errands. I usually find an Uber to get where I am going. My hourly rate is negotiable depending on the distance I must travel to get to my job. My greatest personal achievements would have to be raising my two adult daughters. Both live out of state now and have educations and careers. I have a lot of time on my hands and I just want to make a difference in someone's life. Drug and alcohol free.

I became a CNA 8 years ago because I really enjoy helping people out and also being able to be there to make someone that is going through a tuff time in life smile and feel great.
