I became a caregiver because I love to help people who can't either help themselves or needs assistance. Also because at the age of 14 I became my mother's caregiver along with my sister and grandmother until I was old enough to take care of my mother on my own for 9 years. What I like about being a caregiver is I know at the end of the day when I go home I have done my job and have made my resident and family happy. I am a single mother of 2 boys 1 girl and I am going to pursue my nursing career. I also have experience in dementia and Alzheimer's care. My current job is working on the ICU unit of a hospital so i have gained a lot more experience in the medical field.

Hello my name is Marquita Giddiens I'm an 34 year old Certified Nursing Assistant aswell as a certified medical technician from out of the Odenton area who has a passion for caring and helping others who sometimes are unable to help themself my passion for nursing comes from within and I plan to expand my education to soon become an RN because I love what I do and I couldn't see myself in any other field.

I've been taking care of elderly for 25 years. I am honest hard working and trustworthy. I will show up on time for my shifts. I have my CNA and Medtech certifications as well as CPR. My experience ranges from campaign care to hospice care. I love taking care of our elderly.

Growing up, every great grandparent, and grandparent on both sides of my family, suffered from the Alzheimer's gene. I watched and assisted with their care and witnessed their deterioration my entire childhood and adult life. Naturally, I sought genetic testing and learned I am a carrier of the gene. I am pursuing a career in medicine with a double major in Biology (for Pre-Med) and Neurosciences (studying regressive neurological diseases and mental disorders). I am also a mom of 2. I enjoy providing companionship care and have extensive experience (both personal and professional) and knowledge of senior care and dementia/Alzheimer's. I provide the same care to families that I would give to my own. I'm a driven, passionate person who enjoys reading, outdoor activities of any kind, and am an avid believer that anything is possible if we set out to achieve it. I am a Licenced Practical Nurse that is an Army wife. I am currently taking online classes and my schedule is pretty flexible. I will however need to give 2 weeks norice at my current job.
