I am a 41 year old female. I have 4 children. My youngest was born in 2002 and was my inspiration for becoming a caregiver. He was born with a couple of syndromes and lots of medical challenges. This I became very good at taking care of him. Was a natural caretaker when I was growing up as I was told from family members and friends. This situation made me want to become a professional caregiver and has allowed me to be able to see some of the most common medical equipment and machinery that is used these days. It has tought me a lot.

I consider myself dedicated, fun loving, caring patient,compassionate to the needs of individuals, pleasant toward others and those I care for and come in contact with being a caregiver and a parent the needs of others come first. Knowing what the individual needs and to assist that person to advance them in any learning, speaking, mobility, exercising skills with rehabilitation but still allowing the person to continue to be a great part of their community. I have been a caregiver for a great amount of time of my adulthood and parenthood which is a gift/ministry and I receive achievements by Assisting the individual to grow in self accomplishments.

I became a caregiver because I believe we all deserve quality care in times of sickness and end of life. I have been a licensed care giver since 2006 but my first job in health was in 1999. I am CPR certified and I currently have an EMT license as well as a CNA. I am experienced in almost all area of care. I would love to take care of your loved one in your home.

I have always found myself happiest when in service of others. I served in the USMC 2001-2005, and after an Honorable Discharge, I have worked with several Emergency Medical Providers, to include Hospital and Fire Departments. I am well versed with Emergency procedures, but also the finer, personable and more gentle aspects of health care. I am very outgoing, and can strike up conversation with all ages in a respectful manner. In my 10+ years in an ambulance, I have found that easing ones worries with reassurance, and joyful conversation is the best way to alleviate a lot stress...and stress is a major role player in many patient symptoms. I have a knack for feeling out the personality/background of a person, and adapting my actions and communication to have a more productive relationship. I am married with 4 beautiful children, and my Wife is also in the healthcare field. We go to a small town Church, and live in a somewhat rural area. I also have 7 years as a skilled tradesman, so I am no stranger to fixing/repairing small to large projects, if they were to be encountered. My experience as a Father and Firefighter has given me skills in the kitchen preparing meals of all kinds. I am capable of lifting and moving large people with proper/safe techniques. I can relax with the best of them (reading aloud, watching TV, board games, chatting), but am able to be active for long periods of time without fatigue. My wife and I have both been the "go-to" people in our family for our Elders, as we have played an active role in their care-taking during their final years. My experience in the Emergency setting has given me instinct to interpret peoples signs and symptoms before they turn dire. If anything were to happen while I am a caregiver, I know exactly what to do while awaiting additional help. I have never been reprimanded or fired from any job.

Being a caregiver for me is more of an assignment, of giving lots smiles, laughter and love. I'm a very happy person, who believes passionately that laughter cures the soul. I started in the health field in 1984, wasn't quit sure what was expected, but soon realized I have a passion for bring joy. Meeting new families, receiving positive energy from any situation. The knowledge I have is exceptional. My most proudest personal achievement has been to raise 4 beautiful and successful children. One of which went into the Navy and retired a Navy Nurse. I knew he was medical bond when I saw how attentive he was with the patients at the hospital where I worked when he was a young boy.

I am outgoing and happy. I try to look on the bright side of life. Being positive is important because we get caught up in negativity. I love helping people and feeling like I'm making a difference. That's why I enjoy what I do.

I am dedicated to being able to make a difference in other peoples life by providing the compassion and care needed in there most fragile and delicate aging stages. As a caregiver i am honest patient caring gentle and attentive i can emphasize with my client. one on one time with my client is very important to build a strong trusting relationship that's comfortable and safe. I am friendly outgoing and very positive person i have a great sense of humor and try to keep others smiling and high in spirits. I am familiar with common medical conditioned physically and mentally that occur during aging i have completed several different courses on home health care including patient care training understanding stages of aging and caring for seniors with disabilities and home care for aging I also have my CNA license I have 6 years experience in caregiving i have utilized different equipment used for transferring patients i am familiar with range of motion exercise and simple physical therapy i can prepare meals preform light house cleaning as well as administer medication. I am dedicated and passionate about caring for others.
