I would be a great caregiver because I worked and love my elderly people.. Without them I wouldn't be where I am now. I moved here in NC to help take care of my grandma when I was 12. I've learned lots of things from my grandma..Took care of her til she was 101 years old. My mom and sisters all are in the nursing field and that's what attracted me to being a care giver. The most I enjoy being a caregiver is meeting new people, talking to them and most of all getting to listen to all the stories they lived when they was little. A kind smile or a pat on your back of a job well done.. Not to mention when they ask you Are you coming back ? Is a stamp of approval for me that it was a very good day and a job well done.
I am a highly experienced Resident Care Assistant with great attitude and personality. I have over 8 years of work experience as a Resident Care Assistant/Peronal Care Assistant/Home Health Aide. I have recently attained BS Nutrition which gives me a better understanding of caring for the people I love so much.
I am a caring compassionate person with the motivation to help everyone with all their needs. I especially love seeing smiles on my patients faces. I earned my CNA April 2018 after completing a 9 month class. I am CPR And first aid certified with BLS. I am attending UNCG in the fall of 2018 to major in nursing and then eventually earn my nurse practitioner and own my own practice. I am excited to have an opportunity to work with home health care patients!
I've been a CNA for 18 years, I got my certification in high school and I'm also CPR certified. I have homecare, nusring home, and hospital experience. I became a caregiver because I like helping and taking care of people that can't always take care of themselves. I like being able to assist people with daily activities and helping them to try and still be active as they can be. One personal achievement is having my 2 boys.
Caregiving is something that has always come naturally to me. I started at the age of 11, visiting with residents in nursing homes , and now I work with individuals that prefer to stay in their own homes in the end of life. I have experience with alzhimers/dementia, diabetes, oxygen tanks, medication administration and cathaters. Grooming is my specialty and cleanliness is key. I treat my patients with kindness and respect just like with my own family. Keeping my patients happy, healthy, and comfortable is important to me. I am highly recommend by adult services for the elderly as well as hospice. I have wonderful references that can be provided by family, friends, and neighbors of my previous patients. With over 12 years of private duty caregiving under my belt, I have gained the knowledge needed to give eceptional care to your loved ones.
Providing excellent customer service to patient and family, loyalty, and being dependable which are some of the many reasons I consider myself a great caregiver. I'm compassionate and patient to all my patients' needs making sure I communicate with the patient and family ensuring proper medication and care guidelines. Growing up observing my grandmother care for her mother in home inspired me to become a caregiver not only to my family but to other families as well. I wanted to be great and successful at this so I decided to get the proper education needed for Alzheimers and Dementia and how to cater to their needs. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the smile I leave on my patient's and family's face after my work has ended that shift. Receiving my certificates in the health field, becoming dependable and reliable to those that are in my life work related or not.
After seeing my mother & grandmother work as CNAs at an early age I knew that being in the medical field is what I wanted to do. I have been a CNA for 7 years after doing private duty for a few years. I have worked in many platforms in the medical field but my 1st love is always a CNA. I am kind, loving & caring.
I am 40 years old and I have been in the medical field since I was 19 years old I started out as a Emt/Paramedic. But I wanted to know if the people who I helped out lived or died so I decided to get into nursing while working as a pharmacy technician. I started working in a nursing home then I started working for Randolph county schools. Then I got into home health care nursing while still working for Randolph county schools in summer I would work for a daycare company & also the home health care nursing. I also got started working for a veterinarian & learned allot about treating animals and helping hurt animals also. I enjoy helping people and caring for them it's my passion. I feel like if I have made a difference in at least one person's life than I have done something good.
I am enthusiastic and passionate about taking care of older adult. I have tons of experience! I am 38 years old. I graduated UNC Chapel Hill in 2003 with a BA in communications. I worked as an executive assistant for 8 years in Raleigh prior to persuing my career in healthcare. I worked part-time at Springmoor Retirement Community for an elderly couple until they transitioned into intensive around-the-clock care. I also worked for a homecare agency out of Kernersville, NC that eventually closed due to internal management changes. I also spent a year on the telemetry floor as a cardiac technician at Moses Cone Hospital. I am a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNAI) and I am up to date on my healthcare provider CPR, AED and BLS for healthcare workers. I am very positive-thought focused, energetic and easy to get along with. My goal is to enjoy time with my patients/clients while making their quality of life as comfortable as possible by doing anything I can in any area of their lives to assist them. I truely find helping others rewarding. My younger disabled brother was the first to gain my attention to the healthcare world. I enjoy being a caregiver because I know it gives help to that individual in their day to day living. My most personal achievements would be all of my healthcare professional certifications and 16 years of healthcare experience.
I have been in the "helping" field all my life. I enjoy the sense of satisfaction I get from helping others. I have experience with all ages and pretty much all abilities and disabilities. I love people...love to hear their stories and their take on life. Cant imagine doing anything else.
