I'm a great caregiver because I have empathy toward people with health issues and this is part of my calling - to assist people to engage their lives as full as possible. What attracts me to care giving is the unconditional appreciation I have received over the years. What I enjoy most about being a care giver would be reciprocity from clients to live and not take for granted the little things. My personal achievement has been making life long friends and some have been considered family.
I have a religious background and making a difference in other people's lives is a virtue to live for . I have worked in a memory care eg Falls river court , UNC Chapel hill post surgery unit , Wakemed behavior health and central prison as a healthcare technician and as a medication technician. I have seen people who have recovered from major surgeries going home from hospitals and it has given me satisfaction that I participated in their care. I am empathetic by nature and driven mostly to see the results than just money.

I am a certified CNA with 28 years of experience. I was motivated to be a caregiver at a young age living with my grandparents who raised me. My grandfather had a stroke and diabetes. At the age of 12 I assisted my grandmother to take care of him because I loved them very much. I believe you should do unto others as you will have them do unto you by being accountable, putting their priorities first and giving lots of tender loving care. I always do above and beyond my call of duty. My greatest achievement in CNA is that I have never been unaccountable for not working when I said I will do the job. Clients accept me as part of their family and never want to get rid of me.
I have been described my clients and employers as kind, caring, and compassionate. Not only do I complete tasks, but I focus on the client holistically. This includes the psychosocial aspect; communication, and building a professional, trusting relationship. The nursing profession is my absolute passion and I ensure that my clients, including families are well-cared for and happy. I will be graduating nursing school in 2 more semesters and have a specific interest in neurology. You are welcome to ask questions! Pay is flexible depending on level of care.
