Hello I'm shalonna watts 31 yrs old, currently in buffalo Ny. I have been a caregiver for over 7 yrs. It started with my grandfather, He retired and next thing his health started declining. I cared for him because I didn't like how he was being treated in nursing homes. I just couldn't stand to see the way he was so I knew others wasn't exempt to the same type of treatment. So that's what inspired me to start being a care giver, I've had several cases over the years, some longer than others, different type of issues. However I always provide excellent care to my patients, I try and make them as comfortable in the situation. I listen to there needs and make sure that they know I'm here for them whenever they need me. I'm proud of the mother and person I have become, I've had some tough times in life but I've overcome everything that was holding me back. I've just recently received my Cna license and bls/cpr license.

I was introduced to care giving at a young age. My mother was a CNA and worked in a skilled care facility. She helped me get a job in the kitchen and when i seen how much she ment to the people she cared for i wanted to do the same. I worked in the health care field for over 20 yrs. I have experience working in group homes for the mentality ill to skilled facilities. At the present time i am a Senior aide where i make sure my patients are cared for to the best.
