A great caregiver has a natural urge to help people. They always place a priority on the needs of others and generally have a strong desire to make the world a better place. A few traits that make me one of those caregivers are; I'm empathetic, compassionate, reliable, patient, trustworthy and flexible. I also consider myself a "Jack-of-all-trades" kind of caregiver. I became a caregiver because I enjoy making a difference in people's lives. My primary goal has always been to help improve the quality of life of anyone I come in contact with. I particularly enjoy putting a smile on someone's face as that to me, is the most refreshing and rewarding feeling ever. Over the years as I have provided care to people, I realized that my confidence has drastically improved in every area of my life, this being because caregiving requires decisiveness and self-trust, knowing someone relies on you for their daily well-being has also increased my sense of self-worth. As an enthusiastic nursing professional with experience providing direct and indirect care to a diverse patient base, I am proud to attain a Practical Nurse Diploma complemented by acquiring key experience in both my nursing clinical rotations- and facility-based patient care like the Cleveland Clinic. I have a year and a half work experience as Home Health Aide and almost two years of work experience supporting RNs and CNAs in comprehensive patient support at the Cleveland Clinic Southpointe Hospital. I also received some acknowledgment from the nursing staff which will be provided upon request.

Skills & Certifications: Vision and Eye Disorders, Hearing Disorders, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Depression, Dementia, Stroke, Skin Disorders, Renal and Urological Disorders, Neurological Disorders, Orthopedic Care, Blood Disorders, Arthritis, ALS, Cardiovascular Disorders, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Tracheotomy / Ventilation, Post Surgery Recovery, Diabetes, Respiratory Disorders, Parkinson's Disease, Home Health Care, COPD

Hello, My Name is Bianca Shropshire. Currently I am a student at Lorain County Community College for Minoring in Business and majoring in Computer Networking. My expected date of graduation is May of 2020. I began working in healthcare in 2005. I worked for The Methodist village in Elyria Ohio in Dietary But decided to make a career change to obtain my State Tested Nursing Assisting Licenses once I turned 18. After obtaining my Licenses I obtain a position on the Neurology floor as a clinical technician in which I performed slightly a little more care than what your STNA Licensed which consist of placing and removal of Foley Catheters, removing IV catheters, and Testing blood sugars as ordered by the physician. What our floor specialized in was post recovery for surgeries within the neurological spec, stroke, seizures, dementia, Alzheimer, neurological disorders, meningitis, and some Gastrointestinal care IE ileostomy, or colostomy bags. Being a caregiver is what I have always been best at. I love to be able to help others with just the basic needs in life that sometime we take for granite in being able to do on our own. One of my biggest achievements in life was becoming a mother and raising my children to be kind unto others and help where needed and that comes with rewards in life that money cannot buy.

Skills & Certifications: Tracheotomy / Ventilation, Renal and Urological Disorders, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Stroke, Respiratory Disorders, Parkinson's Disease, Post Surgery Recovery, Home Health Care, Neurological Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, Hospice Care, Arthritis, Alzheimer's Disease, Diabetes, Dementia
