I'm a great caregiver because im a compassionate person and I love what I do. I wanted to be a caregiver because I love taking care if sick people and people with challenges. Something I enjoy most about being a caregiver is when I interact with the clients.

Actually, I am a Registered Nurse. Characteristics: dependable, honest, independent, optimistic, hard-working, encouraging, a problem solver, a good listener and communicator. I became interested in health care when I was 10 years old and in the hospital over Christmas having had an emergency appendectomy. My mom worked for a doctor (earning $1 an hour) and was always telling us about interesting cases and teaching us strange sounding medical terminology. Most of my nursing career was in a Medical Intensive Care Unit at Ohio State University Medical Center. After that exciting career, I started working in Home Health in 2008. I enjoy working 1 on 1 with my clients, offering encouragement, seeing that they are receiving proper care, and hearing their life stories.

I am a very personable enthusiastic and compassionate individual. I was an EMT for many years and took care of elderly patientsI also am a certified Mefical Assistant. . Hi! I've been an RN for 26 yrs. I LOVE caring for others and all that comes with being a nurse. I'm not necessarily looking for high-tech, intensive nursing right now. I'm more interested in getting out of the house to be of use to someone who needs some assistance at home or out in the community. Our 3 sons are grown and out on their own now. I've been home for a couple years, caring for my husband who is a traumatic brain injury survivor, so if you need help, I'll RUN out the door. What Makes me a good caregiver is my ability to show empathy ,I enjoy my job and this is what I want to do. I've been an STNA for 11 years. I decided to become an STNA because I have a soft spot for people but elders the most. I Never grew up with my own Grandparents so My resident's I work with becomes extended family.
