I love helping and caring for people, providing companionship, helping out with activities of daily living, putting a smile on their face, and just being there to brighten their day in whatever way that is achieved. I am CPR certified. I also know how to use a lift when transferring patients.
Well HELLLLLLO my name's brandon!! I recently moved here from the state of Maine about a year ago! I moved here to go to college and I currently attend UCO online. I want to earn a bachelors degree in special education or something related to working with special needs. The reason behind it all is because of my brother carlos. My brother and I were adopted when we were 5 and 7, He was born with stage two assburgers and stage one down syndrome so ive been helping him through school, getting him involved in Special Olympics (LISBON!), helping him open up and make friends, all the way to getting him comfortable enough to speak his mind! Being raised in a new home with a new family with 7 kids was a new experiencewith... THATS FOR SURE!!! But it was because of his dedication to being just a normal guy like everyone around him that made me really think. For someone like Carlos to stand up and be heard in the ways he was percieving it to be was SOOOO PHENOMINAL!!! In fact it was SOOOO HEART WARMING that sparked my fire of ambition to want to be actually happy in the future. And their is nothing better then leaving late nights knowing that I got to be the positive part of someones day. That is my goal for the future. To help people. To be the positive outlook in someone elses life, and build hope. Carlos has helped me become the young ambitious compassionate man I am today. So I want my life to be something he can be proud of one day.
You have to love what you do or it want work out for you. I love the elderly and respect them for just being the age they are. When I was growing up I use to go visit my great aunt and it was bad. So I said I'm going to take care of them when I grow up. And so I do for a living take care of them. With love and respect. Just the company and stories. Its like taking care of me I love my self so I'm going to treat them like they are really loved by family. That I made my dream come true about taking care of the helpless and I love it.

I always try to put my self in the residence position and have empathy on the residents. I was a nurse back home in Africa. So I have always loved to help people especially the elderly. I like seeing residents feeling satisfied and pleased with my services for them. I prayed for a resident and assisted them with their ADLs and they recovered so fast and they were stronger than before

I'm a good communicator.. communication is the key to all successful family relationships being able to communicate details regarding the patients care in clear and simple terms understanding and trust. It is part of my job to be privy to alot of information about my patient's and there family I know how to keep information to myself unless the information is essential for the safety and protection of my patients.. providing trust, worthiness, honesty, patience, dependable, support, and encouragement.
I have been in the medical field as a CNA for 9 years plus. I recently lost my license due to state issues, & would really like to continue working in the health field. Because I really love, enjoy, & I have a passion for taking care of others. I love being around other people that need the help, because I love to here their stories, listen to things people dont want to, or have time for. And over the 9 years plus i have been working with all these different types of people, I have noticed they also tell and give you some pretty good advice and wisdom. Even if they cant talk they always have a story whether you know it or not and I would be that one care giver that would talk to them and try and get them to tell it thru gestures or eye contact. I like to get to know my patients a little more than others so they can get the proper care they need and deserve. I have took care of all types of patients & residents from a quadriplegic, rehab, tube feeders, mentally challenged(adults mostly, little experience with kids, but I'm always up to trying and learning new things), nursing home residents, home health care patients, private care patients, hospice patients, and I have also been a bath aide. I would really appreciated if I was given another chance at caring for people. It's almost been a year since I lost my last medical field job and I'm just really trying to get back into it. If you have any questions regarding my state issues with my license, please feel free to email me@ firstname.lastname@example.org or text me@ 4zero54five82five5five. And yes I'm available for weekends and live ins(no more the 4 days unless taking vacation or emergency) thanks in advance
I am a very pleasant yet spunky 59-year-old YaYa of soon to be 7 grandchildren. I love to clean, cook and multi-task. I'm extremely talented, artsy, organized and I LOVE people. By nature, I am a people pleaser and servant of others in need. I started out in nursing many years ago working with the elderly in both assisted living and hospital care. I left nursing and sold real estate for more than 25 years. During this period, I also cared for my father as he declined in health fairly quickly. Later, I relocated from Kansas City to Topeka Kansas, where I worked 4 years in marketing for a not for profit home health/hospice organization. Prior to moving, I had worked as a therapist with autistic children of all ages using ABA training. That was fun! Working with people, spreading goodwill and creating smiles is where my heart is. I've recently moved to Oklahoma to help with my daughter's growing family and care for my grandson. Not only do I chase a 2yr old around, but I also cook and clean daily. She is now on maternity leave so I am free to pick up some part-time hours. I would love the opportunity to visit and see if we are a match for one another.
