My name is Shantell. I am a proud mother of three wonderful adult children and blessed with three amazing grandchildren. I have been working in health care since a young age, starting off being a health care aide for my blind grandmother at the tender age of 8 years old. From there on I found my passion in life. During my years as working as a personal care aide, I had the opportunity to take care of my parents during their last days. In doing so, I was able to gain a personal insight on the importance of having the right person taking care of your loved ones, which gave me an even greater passion for the work I do. I realized the importance of giving each and every person who I take care of the same love and care as I gave my loved ones while taking care of them. As well as the respect and honor to have the opportunity to be a part of their life.

I have been an emergency technician for the past 26 years. I took care of a vast array of patients including many who were in critical condition. I recently left the ER to be the caretaker for a husband and wife. I am responsible for bathing, cooking, grocery shopping, medication distribution, and household cleaning. Its a joy being able to help keep them out of a nursing home. The wife has end stage COPD and the husband has Parkinsons. I am especially proud that because of my efforts they are still living at home. The relationship I have built with them has been well worth it too. The husband has even given me the nickname Christmas because he looks forward to seeing me every morning.

I've spent most of my adult life taking care of people. It's what I love most. I love getting to know who I'm caring for as well as their loved ones.

I am a honest and caring person who enjoys caring for people who need my help. I started working in this profession when my dad suddenly became Ill with cancer. I knew then I wanted to help people .

Helping people in their homes , for one on one care that most do not receive in a nursing facility. I am also CPR and first aid certified. I am also a med-tech, and diabetic trained and certified. I enjoy the company and getting to know new people.

I am very passionate when it comes to caring for others. Growing up I've seen my family take care of our elders. 98% of the elders in my family were cared for at home. So growing up I knew what I wanted to do after high school. Caring for others is in my blood. I have worked in nursing homes in North Carolina, Florida and Virginia. I feel like elders are God's angels and they must be respected and taken care of.

I am a senior nursing student at IUP. I have worked with patients from premature newborns to the elderly. I am a highly compassionate person and am very passionate about my work and my career in nursing. I loved spending time with my clients when I was a caregiver for Home Instead Senior Care. I am CPR certified and have a lot of experience with many different disorders!

I have been a nurse for 19 years. I have experience in geriatrics , pediatrics, home health, skilled units, long term care and hospice/ palliative care.

I am 49 years old . Taking care of others I love to do have been doing this since 1996. I am in the process of finishing my last 2 prerequisits for nursing. I am working 3 - 12 hour shifts at speciality select hospital and looking to feel 2 days a week my schedule is made 6 weeks in advance.
