I chose this career because I like to help other people, and one way to do it is to work in the medical field. A fact that motivated me to do so is that when I was five years old, my grandmother was sick and I was able to observe how other people did not take care of her properly.

After many long years of working directly with people in diverse professional settings back then in the day ;when I was used to be a certified nurse assistance CNA from state of California, where I had gained all the experienced dealing & taken care of all types of geriatric residents in the nursing homes of settings & Private home care . Astute observation skills ; which is observing residents day to day physical & mental health at all the times . Fully strong sense of awareness in the client's environment to ensure safety. The only thing that I really enjoy being a care giver are I have a great compassion , pleasant with very positive of attitudes ,very caring person and I really like to help others. With being a great caregiver I believe it's a must that you have patience, compassion as well as being trustworthy and dependable. I watched my mother take care of the elderly and disabled my whole life and just watching her be able to put a smile on the face of a person and their families just because she takes great care of them was enough to make me want to spread those same smiles. One of the things I enjoyed most about being a caregiver was being able to make a person smile, laugh or even comfortable enough to talk to me when they were having the worst day. I have achieved a lot of things that seemed big to my peers but I feel my greatest achievement is yet to come.

I feel that I am a great caregiver because I am very compassionate about what I do. I love to help people in any way that I can. I feel caregiving is a very fulfilling career, because you actually get to see the progress you are making with your consumers. I become very close with my clients quickly. All of my clients enjoy having me work with them, they like my personality and the fact that I do not waste my time when I'm with them. I have been doing this for 25 plus years, so I must enjoy it. I have never had a complaint from any client in my performance or attitude, in fact I've had just the opposite. I just lost a client to Covid 19 in May that I had worked for privately for almost 4 years, that is how I came to work for the 3 agencies that I work for now. One of my greatest achievements is helping a consumer walk again after working very hard doing his exercises to get him stronger and getting him back in his feet.
