I'm a easygoing and energetic caregiver. Learning routines, meaning learning the way my patients/clients and theirs families would like things to be done is what made me a great caregiver. I love helping people who really can't help themselves feel a little better and feel comfortable is what attracted me to caregiving. What I enjoy the most about caregiving is the companionships and making sure they get to their doctors appointments and grocery shopping for them really brightens their day. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is taking care of my grandmother all the way until the end. I always made sure she was comfortable, happy and satisfied. she often told me how proud she was of me for taking care of her.

I am a licensed practical nurse of three years. I have a great love for the elderly and very much enjoy their company. I currently have began a job change from home health to hospice. I am on call over the weekends starting 5pm Friday. I am looking for something more to do with available time. I have experience working with the elderly both as a caregiver before graduation and as an LPN. I am looking to provide companionship and help with daily activities on an as needed basis.

It make me feel good to know that I can take a load off of family members while relieving stress and pressure because we know that caring for a family member is exhausting, I've been there and know. I have always wanted to work in the health care field. What really drew in into being a caregiver was taking care of my mother when she was going though her chemo treatments and after she had her surgery to get ride of her tumor. I am very dedicated to my work. I absolutely love caring for people and knowing that I am impacting their life in such a big way by doing little things.
