I became a nurse after I had my child. I have 15 years of experience as a nurse and I'm CPR certified. I've been a nurse since 2000. I started by working in the hospital and moved into private duty nursing. I've taken care of people of all ages from preemies to hospice, from mental disabilities to physical ones. I love what I do. I'll admit I get car sick so riding around isn't a good idea for me but as long as I'm driving I'm good. I do clean while I'm working. Taking out trash, doing dishes that were used, laundry, and any other messes that may come up. I'm not someone that is always on my phone and I like to interact with the people I work with. I'm a great listener and a fast learner. I love working with and learning about new people. At the moment I have a vehicle from 9am until 9pm. I've alway been told that I'm a people person and can get along with anyone. And I really hope that I will get that chance. My rate is negotiable depending on care.
I'm a great caregiver because I actually love what I do! I'm very patient and passionate when it's come to my clients and their families. I became a caregiver fresh out of high school because of my favorite family member who suddenly became disabled. She has now passed away and I will continue to provide ultimate care for others who need it.
I am a wife and a Mother of 4 AMAZING kids. I have been a CNA since I was 15 years old and I come from a family that are all healthcare professionals. My Dad used to take us to a local nursing home for veterans when I was growing up. We volunteered there our whole childhood, taking the members to the barber shop, to play bingo, and just to read to them. I was called for this job when my grandpa was sick with lung cancer, I researched as much as I could trying to figure out how to help him and just could never walk away. I've spent the majority of my career in Nursing homes working with the elderly, but I have also had the privilege of working for an agency where I traveled and got to experience all sorts of different environments/people. My husband was relocated to Memphis for his Job this past fall and I'm excited to start our new beginning and to meet new people.
My passion is caregiving for people. When I was in highschool my grandfather who I was very close to got very sick and I would help my grandmother with him, that's when I knew I wanted to go into the medical field to help people. I am very compassionate, honest, trustworthy, and reliable. I have worked at skilled nursing facilities, memory care facilities, and taken care of my step father who had Alzheimer's.
