I am a certified CNA, a Texas certified special education teacher and currently a Licensed Vocational nursing student with Cybertex institute in Austin TX. I love providing care to people who may need my services and I never take for granted the opportunity to come into your homes. Thank you!
I enjoy people , their stories , the life they have lived , events in history they lived through that I can only read about . I know and firmly believe God put me on this path of nursing for its what I enjoy , Can give back and where my help is needed . I believe their are nurses and then there are exceptional nurses . If I can impact one family , one person and make the quality of life the live better then I have done my job . Nursing is not just a career it's a life long commitment and friendship to a patient .
I am a very caring and highly respectable person. I believe my job should always be done at 100%. I have a ton of experience working with many different types of individuals (male and female) with many different types of disorders/disabilities. I have a lot of patience. No one individual will be treated any differently than the rest and that is with the up most respect and best care that can be provided by myself. I believe each person should enjoy their lives the best as possible and with my help, I can provide the life that helps most and that is supporting Independence, Respecting Values and Providing Care that is undeniably shown through my work with an individual.
I have been a caregiver for 15 yrs. and love helping the elderly and handicap stay in the home. You are healthier where you are the happiest I'm a dog lover and love spoiling my babies. I have 2 grown children and 4 grandchildren (I'm older than I look). Last year I met my biological family and it's been an amazing journey. I'm truly blessed.
Enjoy caring for the elderly. Very active with patient if they are mobile and able to be taken out. I've had patients I've taken to the movies, walking trails, lake, gone boating, shopping, out to eat, and basically get them out of the house to enjoy their day. If they are home bound I've baked with them some of their own recipes they may have. Because I love to bake from scratch. Cook, clean, and just spend time with them. I feel some don't have long why not make their last days good.
I've been a CNA for 17 yrs and been doing Home Care for on and off for 5 yrs. I become a caregiver because I love being able to help people. I've watched so many elderly people being abused by staff and caregivers that i dedicate myself to doing whatever I can to ensure that my clients are happy healthy and always smiling. I am reliable and on time a majority of the time. I have a 3 yr old and sometimes we run a tad late but will always text or call to inform you if I will be.
I believe I'm a great caregiver because of all the experiences throughout my fire service career. This was over 25 years which included the rank of Fire Chief in two different cities. You're always working around people serving them and having their best interest in mind. During that time I also workwith a gentleman spending over three years in his home who was diagnosed with PSP. This included feeding showering companionship Total Care spending 24 hours a day in his home. I have also worked in a couple other nursing homes and assisted living facilities as a cook. Once again this allowed me to be around the environment of health care and serving the resident. I've also spent quality time in assisted living and Memory Care Facilities working with all kind of residence for different kind of diagnosis. Every time is allowed me to make a bond with all the residents and make it more than just a job but a place I wanted to be. This has allowed me to understand and realize how important it is to have compassion, patience, and a genuine sincerity as it relates to caregiving and home health. We are the ones who help ensure that all of our residents or people we care for in their homes have the dignity, respect, security and safety that they are entitled to and something I believe all of us need to have I like being a caregiver and a CNA because once again I am able to care for people take care of people, and be a part of their complete care plan. More often than not we may be the only ones left to assist them during this time in their lives I am currently a CNA ( Certified Nurse Aide) through 2021 in Texas my home state and have my CNA certification in 6 other states as well. I have worked in that capacity for the last 4 years. I have experience in a hospital setting, assisted living, and nursing homes , home health and long term care.
I feel worthwhile and that I am making a difference. Before I started college I worked in daycare.I received a lot of joy helping the children to overcome obstacles. I graduated from the University of Texas and received my BSN. I worked at St. Lukes in the ICU's. I took care of clients with all kinds of problems.I also worked on the transplant unit at ST. Luke's. I transferred to M,D. Anderson Hospital where I was the evening charge nurse. Our clients had a variety of cancers. After 18 months I transferred to a private oncology office. I dealt with newly diagnosed patients.I taught them about their disease, I mixed and administered chemotherapy. The doctors I worked for were also hematologist. We treated a number of AIDS patients.I worked extensively with the families. When the patients disease was no longer treatable I Placed them on Hospice. My children were young and I decided to stay home with them. I eventually went back to school and became a Texas Certified teacher. I was certified to teach grades 4-8th and special education. I taught in public schools and started tutoring privately. I then started to take care of clients that needed my help physically.
I am a very outgoing person my friends say. I love, love people. I love caring for all sorts of ages but love the elderly. I love to make them happy and I think laughter is so important. Doing things with them to keep their minds going. Making sure their hygiene is taking care of even when they feel unsafe with that area at times. I started being a caregiver because I always wanted to help people and let people feel wanted at any age. My grandma had cancer and I started my caregiving at young age of 10. She was special and she loved me taking care of her because I did not mind doing anything she wanted me to do and have kept doing the same for my clients. They need to feel they still have a say so in their own care. I have two beautiful children that are successful in life. raised them in church and taught them to be good people and respect people.
