Becoming a caregiver was my natural calling. I Became a CNA in 2010 to assist those who are not able to help themselves. I furthered my education and graduated 9/2012 from WCJC with my Vocational Nursing Certificate. I am a licensed nurse. I love my job, with all that it entails. I am patient, caring, honest, dependable, and loyal. I am looking into furthering my education in the near future and am seeking employment that is flexible with my schedule with children and school.
I provide compassionate and non-judgemental care to clients and also have great communication skills. I was encouraged to be a caregiver by my mother because she always encouraged me to help and show love to the people around me. I enjoy helping people who are unable to perform usual activities due to their health conditions, this facilitates the recovery process. I am proud of being a recent graduate from a nursing school with an associate degree. I can now work as an RN!
Being passionate, listening and patience make me a great caregiver. I became a caregiver for two good reasons, 1). My father became ill years ago before passing away and we couldn't afford to pay for all the caregivers. I had to change my school and work schedules to care for him. 2). Seeing the smiles on my father's face after caring for him encouraged me to get my CNA certification and also expecting to see others smile too after caring for. Being able to make a difference in people lives. Proud of belonging in an organization that helps others to fulfilled their health needs.

I am a loving and Compassionate person. I started taking of my grand mother at the age 15yrs old and she is 92, so that is what motivated me to be a caregiver and pursue the career. I enjoy it because it is a work that require human conscience and it remind me that' one day I will be old. It is call to serve God through humanity it is not just a profession. You need patience and tolerance to accommodate the elderly. The quality of care I will give determination how long their lifespan will live especially for the hospice patients ,and for the dementia and Alzheimer's patient, it require a lot of strategy and knowledge of the stage and how to handle them. For bed bound or disable they need total care service.

I got into this field Because I took care of my grandmother before she passed away and on her death bed she made me promise to go back to school. There is a wonderful feeling that I get when I see a flower in bloom. I may have started with only a seed, but I plant in the richest soil and add the warm loving embrace of sunshine and the gentle touch of rain. Although I'm not much on botany, I get this feeling when I see a beautiful person in my care bloom with radiance and enthusiasm for life once again. This is the joy that I have as I share my passion with the loved one's that you entrust me with. Care is more than jobs or chores or tasks that needs be done. It's doing what I love, to increase the quality of life in those that need it the most and keeping the energy and zest for life alive in those that don't. Hi my name is Rebecca and my motto is, "If you love your job, you won't have to work a day in your life." please give me the opportunity, and I'll show you what I mean.
