A little about me... I've been a certified nurses aide for over 20 years. I've worked in nursing homes, private sitting and I've worked in Hospice for the past 10 years. I love what I do. Since i started working as a CNA, I've gone to school to do other things, but I keep coming back as a CNA, so I feel this is my passion. My children are grown and I have 3 amazing and beautiful grand children, and another on the way. That's a little about me....
There is a wonderful feeling that I get when I see a flower in bloom. I may have started with only a seed, but I plant in the richest soil and add the warm loving embrace of sunshine and the gentle touch of rain. Although I'm not much on botany, I get this feeling when I see a beautiful person in my care bloom with radiance and enthusiasm for life once again. This is the joy that I have as I share my passion with the loved one's that you entrust me with. Care is more than jobs or chores or tasks that needs be done. It's doing what I love, to increase the quality of life in those that need it the most and keeping the energy and zest for life alive in those that don't. Hi my name is Rebecca and my motto is, "If you love your job, you won't have to work a day in your life." please give me the opportunity, and I'll show you what I mean.
Skills & Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
I believe what makes me a great caregiver is because I am patient, compassionate, reliable, honest and I have some experience. I did not know about care giving until I came to this Nation and my family members introduced me to it and after doing it for a few months I started to enjoy taking care of people in need and I have been doing it ever since. What I like most about being a caregiver is when am taking care of a patient and am able to help them do what they could not do by themselves and see the face brighten and smile. My personal achievement that am proud of is handling a combative patient make them calm and they accept care, take their medications and meals.
