I'm a very upfront outgoing person. I've been a Certified Nurse Assistant since I was 18 yrs old. I was helping my Mom out with my Dad during his battle with lung cancer. I enjoyed giving my Dad one on one care. I cared for him while my Mother was at work. Allowing him to be comfortable in his own home. After he passed I went on to take the CNA, CMA, Phlebotomy class at Kilgore College. I enjoyed mostly the one on one time spent with my patients. Getting to know them. I've worked in Long term care facilities. Prisons, Home healths, Assisted living homes. I mostly enjoy going into the homes as a Companion. Just giving somebody the option of staying home. Helping them with all daily living routines. Allowing them to still stay active. Giving them respect, dignity. Also giving them all my attention.
I have trained and worked as a CNA for over 25 years, which includes hospice. My experience far out way my training because of my desire to continually expand my skills and training, which adds to my services rendered to clients. There is no illness or disease I have not worked with. I will be a welcome asset to any client who acquire my services.

Hello I'm Nakia I'm 26 years old I'm a college student studying education I love elderly people and children. Everyone.... I have I recently lost a very special person in my life which was my grandmother. She died in February of this year. She raised me and as she got older I stepped up and started to take care of her. She got to where she could not walk and plus she had dementia and heart failure. So my grandmother needed extra support and help and I was that for her. The best thing for me was just taking care of her knowing that I know I will be older one day and I would love for someone to take care of me. Everyone needs someone at one point in life. I watched her hair every morning be ther so my grandmother needed extra support and help and I was that for her. The best thing for me was just taking care of her knowing that I know I will be older one day and I would love for someone to take care of me. Everyone needs someone at one point in life. I wash her hair, bath her , fed her every morning before I had to go to school or work. She had help during the day when I was gone but I always came back that evening and I did this for a year and a half until she died. I enjoy keeping her company to an elderly person I believe that you can learn so much from Them because of everything they have experienced in life.
Hi my name is Lynda Waters. I am 40 tears old and have been a Certified Nurse Aide for 11 years now. I love what i do because i enjoy working with people. There is so much that you learn from different people and that is what i love about it. I enjoy interacting with my patients because i love to see the smile on their faces and know that i have actually helped my patient. I have learned alot in my 11 years but there is so much more that i can learn because every patient is different and that is what excites me and knowing that i have helped my patient in a way that they needed the help. and to see the smile and the happiness on my patients face.
Things that make me a great caregiver; I love to help others and be their advocate. Great people skills, hard working, dependable. What attracted me to be a caregiver; seeing the difference that I can make in others rehabilitation or end of life care. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver; is knowing that I was able to be there for someone in their time of need. Personal achievement that I am proud of; working on my degree/nursing school while being a single mother.
I enjoy getting to know others, and learning something new everyday. I volunteer, when I am able to, with local churches, community functions, and whatever I can find to do what I can to improve someone's day. I am always striving to help anyone in/outside of work, and to my best ability, be the best team leader/member to the individual. What attracted me the most to caring for another is the appreciation that they give. Not money, or candy, but the smile across their faces makes helping others worth while. I have learned from the years of helping others outside of at workplace and inside that no matter who you are or who the person is, as long as you both find a light in any situation, and it will be lifted. I proud of the light who reminded me everyday to look, and I am proud when reminded of the quote, I think of the individual who taught me .
