It's my calling this is what I'm suppose to be doing on this earth and love it.i have worked in hospitals /rehabs inside homes but mostly nursing homes . i take care of my clients and at the end of the day i can rest in peace knowing i have completed my duties. As a young child one of my favorite things was to hang out with my grandparents/great grandparents and hear all their many stories. From their child hood and all in between. I also loved helping them in various things. From landscaping with my grandfather to cooking and sewing with my grandmother. I became a caregiver because being in the company of my elders is what brought me the greatest joy. I love the smiles on their faces. My best achievement is being missed when I'm off. I was working an Alzheimer's unit for about 8 months, i took a three day weekend and a very confused man came to me and said[where have you been on vacation]

I am a 49 year old nana to 10 beautiful grandbabies. I have worked in nursing homes, and altimzers units, to lock down units. I like to read, watch movies and sing. I also have an associates degree i. Business management. I have had a cna and a medical assisgance license for over 22 years but i let it laps. I have tried other jobs from financing to repossession. Yes it may pay well but it doesnt make my heart feel the way it does when im an helling people. One thing i am most proud of is ive managed to raise 3 beautiful sons and i have had 13 foster kids. You have to patience, understanding and both sympathy and empathy to do this job. You have to care and want to help people. In the end I love the way being a crar giver feels. I love helping families take care of their loved ones so they can keep them at their home.
