I'm a very easy going person, I've been a CNA over 20 plus years. I treat my clients as though we're family or the way I want my mother to be treated. What attracted my to caregiving, was having compassion for others. I most enjoy about caregiving is getting to know my clients and/or their family. I am a loving and Compassionate person. I started taking of my grand mother at the age 15yrs old and she is 92, so that is what motivated me to be a caregiver and pursue the career. You need patience and tolerance to accommodate the elderly. The quality of care I will give determination how long their lifespan will live especially for the hospice patients ,and for the dementia and Alzheimer's patient, it require a lot of strategy and knowledge of the stage and how to handle them. For bed bound or disable they need total care service.

I accompany clients to doctors' offices and on other trips outside the home, providing transportation, assistance and companionship. I maintained sterile fields, application of dressings to a stage 4 decubitus ulcer. I assisted patients with basic activities of daily living, including changing of bed linens, washing laundry, preparing nutritious meals and doing basic housekeeping.
