I became a caregiver due to the fact my grandparents who both raised me both passed away in nursing homes. After I saw the care and how they were being treated, I made the decision to become a nurse assistant so I could possibly make a difference. I feel as though I have, I love what I do and couldn't see myself doing anything else. I'm a very compassionate person with a big heart and I truly enjoy helping others. I'm a good talker but a better listener and will do anything to make sure my patient is comfortable and taken care of emotional, physically, and personally. This is my calling and I have enjoyed these last 11 years doing this.

I became a caregiver after volunteering for Hospice and realizing I had a passion for helping others. I really enjoy knowing that as a caregiver I can enrich the lives of so many people and help them live comfortably in their homes when their loved ones aren't able to provide the assistance needed. I also like knowing that I can be a part of allowing seniors to live their life to the fullest regardless of all the hurdles that aging and diseases can bring. I have been a caregiver for about 11 years now I have learned and grown so much as I have been exposed to many different conditions and situations such as dementia, Parkinson's, and diabetes. One of my greatest personal achievements aside from obtaining my CNA certification has been how much I have learned about Hospice and working with people in the end of life stage or with terminal illnesses. One thing I know for sure regardless of the years of experience or education I have earned towards my caregiving career I was born with a caring and compassionate heart that will be the main driving force to the excellent customer service you'll experience when I am the caregiver for your loved one. I have been a certified CNA since 2002 didn't know what I was getting into and didn't really get into the groove of it till 2006 when it hit me realizing that we're all going to be in a place where we need assistance We all come in this world a child and we leave a child so what you put out is what you're going to get back so i treat everyone as if they were a loved one a family member because some other people I'm taking care of don't have any family I'm the first face they see in the morning and probably the last days they see at night everything I do comes from the heart it has to!
